I found a pattern to make a wig. I'm a new yarn crafter person. Patterns are so beyond my ability to figure out. My friend who gave me all the yarn and told me to create doll accessories is my pattern translator.
After we figured out the pattern, we then had to figure out how to make it much smaller to fit my dolls.
Basically it's a V stitch worked in the round, increase for a couple rows, then decrease with sc stiches until it fits the head. You pull the yarn through the stiches all around. It uses a lot of yarn, but hey, I have yarn.
I've gotten in contact with the local "Quilts for Kids" group. I'll be joining them next month. I like to piece quilt blocks don't mind cutting out fabric, but when it comes to putting all together I don't have a lot of luck. It's a 2 person or more job, I don't have the extra hands.
