It started simple enough, dear hubby said one day "Why do you keep spending money at the fabric store? You don't sew, you collect fabric."

I made a doll, then another one, then...well you get the picture. I had given dolls to just about everyone in my circle. My dolls were sitting on my shelf looking so sad.

I started piecing quilts for the dolls, then I found Mother Seton Quilting Angles in Germantown, MD.

What fun!!   A whole bunch of people who liked fabric.   I started making quilts for children, and then for the wounded soldiers.

I worked at a hospital, I asked the receptionist of our department if she could use some dolls to give to the children when they came for a procedure. She was excited about the idea.

I dropped off a couple with her the next day and people  noticed them sitting on her desk.  They starting remembering that they had fabric from when their son/daughter was a baby-you know the one that just graduated college.  My fabric collection has multiplied.

Others gave me their yarn...which prompted me to learn to crochet.
