SHE
FESTIVAL
The first She Festival was March 21, 2002 at the Blue Martini in
Columbia, SC.
raised nearly$1,000.00 for Sistercare of Columbia.
The Second She Festival was in Augusta, Ga., at Crossroads on 11-16-02.  Profits from the festival benefited Sistercare
Featured musicians were Brandy Douglass, Anna-Grace Carter and Lisa Savage. Our headliner band was The Inhibitors.  The unique dancer Jeanne.  Artwork by Dee & Alexandra.
Created to promote awareness of violence against women, and give talented women a chance to raise their voices together.
The concept is to bring an eclectic mix of female performers & artists onto one stage, for one night, to make a difference one community at a time.
In recent years, women have come to be recognized nationally more & more for their contributions to art & music. However, in many local scenes, particularly in the South, women continue to be overlooked.
The
She festival's mission is to change that.
