| Wow, What a Win!! There were 18 in our class. We won under all 3 judges. I remember Leigh Macquarrie laughing and grinning the whole time. Many people didn't even take us into consideration. I guess they overlooked the quality. Leigh knew that she was good before, during and after we entered. We were the second to last to go...he smiled. Upon returning to the pen, I was greeted by Doug Milam, who said to me, "You Just kicked my #!@?, You are two miles above any of us in here, Congradulations". Leigh was still smiling, well I think he was laughing by this time. Holly went out there and was just as natural as could be and never made one slip up. She has a lope to die for. Isn't it funny, Now that I think of it, it was after she won this class that everyone wanted to know who she was, what her bloodlines were. She was no different from when she landed to when she left in my opinion. As you will notice through the pictures, she has bodied out alot since her yearling year. She was quite gangly looking at the Nationals and into her second year. Coming a three year old she really started to body out and come together. When I look at her sire and dam (who I owned for 8 years), they matured pretty much the same way. |
