Well, I've seen it and what can I say?  It totally lived up to my expectations and much more.  I will be posting my own personal response to it, but for now I'll say it made me laugh, cry, and gasp at the beauty of it all and defintly captured the nature of the book.

The theatrical trailer is up in quicktime at the official site, which has been majorly updated with loads of cool stuff.
Random: The teaser trailer keeps playing at the cinema where I work and it keeps distracting me!
This months issue of Total Film magazine has a really big article on Jason Isaacs and he talks about Peter Pan a lot.  It's the January issue and has Viggo Mortensen on the front.

The new theatrical trailer is out and it's really cool.  Amongst other sites you can catch it at yahoo movies but it is in quicktime form on the official site (see
links).  The best bit is when Peter goes "I AM..." I dunno if he says anything else in that bit but it's really sexy!

The film has been given a PG rating

Ain't it cool have done an article on Peter Pan.  Harry Knowles got the script or something - this is how it opens:

TITLE - All children grow up.
the words fade, then

Ludivine Sagnier has spoken about her role as Tink in the movie "I had been feeling so dirty doing all the things as Julie (in swimming pool, a previous movie), then it was 'we're going to wash away your sins!  Have fun, come away to Neverland'.  In a certain way, it was very creative, I fly around on wires, and I had to imagine all the world around me".

peter pan seems set to be THE BIG CHRISTMAS FILM of 2003 which is cool in my opinion.  For some reason it has that 'christmas' feel about it.  I get this from both the trailer and production photos.  I think it will be a huge hit.  It seems to be sticking very much to the original book, right down to peter's outfit of leaf skeletons!

jason isaacs (hook) has been heard making fun of Hook (the movie) saying how it's about a guy who can't give up his cell phone, while Peter Pan is about never wanting to grow up.
Up until round about now, I've always liked Hook but thinking about it, the movie has ruined the magic of Peter Pan.  In a way, we almost lose hope, finding out what peter became, but in my opinion we don't have to believe that, while it's good story in itself, as is the movie, it's effects, acting, etc, i think a story like peter pan is best left where he never grows up - it gives us the hope that we might not either
