Mody (12/12/02) cited the Government of India's lack of figures
on IDRF-funded activities for 1999-2001 as evidence of high-level "obfuscation".
According to the GOI minister, IDRF gave $0. to the Army Central Welfare Fund.
I have with me a photocopy of a cheque for Rs. 8 Lakh (Rs. 800,000) which
was handed over to the Army Central Welfare Fund by a gentleman from the US
through IDRF - sent to me by that gentleman himself. Wonder if Mody knows
how many of us in the US are still waiting for those Acknowledgements from
the Army Central Welfare Fund for their June 1999 Kargil donations directly
sent to the ACWF??
