People Under New Knowledge. The 70's punk movement was one of the most revolutionary musical events in history. Coming out into the open were bands of unmatched attitude whose audacity shocked the rock industry. With a sound so raw and an angst so true, the punk movement redefined youthful anarchy.
 
 

In the Philippines, the sound is best illustrated by the indie groups of the mid-80's: the bands of the Twisted Red Cross. Over the years, and even as the sound lost its popularity, Filipino punks will still remember these bands as the true sound of Pinoy punk.
