"Waiting..."
What would I give to find you?
The man who fills my dreams at night,
And my heart with longing during the day.
To have our eyes meet and have our hearts racing.
To have our hearts meet and be reflected in our eyes.

To touch you, and tremble from your touch.
To have thoughts of you that take my breath away.
To want you, and ache from longing for you.
To know that our most intimate encounters,
Would be a passionate explosion joining our souls.

To have you hold me as we drift off to sleep,
And have you beside me when I wake.
To be with you and share a life with you.
To comfort you through the mundane tasks of life,
And to know that I am truly wanted and needed.

To join you in the pursuits of simple pleasures,
Such as music, movies, or just reading to each other.
To share romantic dinners out or at home.
To laugh and smile with you, and yes make love with you.
To explore the world without and the world within.

To hold hands, and take long walks in the rain or snow.
To swim and frolic beneath the sun or moon.
To play together in the mountains or the city.
To have conversations while gazing up at the stars,
While the Heavens come down to blanket and comfort us.

To know you, and know you are like me...
Sensitive and sincere, longing for openness.
Caring and devoted, wanting to protect.
To fall desperately "IN" love with you,
And have you just as deeply in love with me.

To grow old with you, and fulfill our many dreams.
To always be best friends, partners, and lovers.
There's no hesitation when I wonder, "what would I give?"
The answer is so simple, I'd give all and everthing I have,
Because your love would be all I need and more.

So my love...to whoever, wherever you are,
Won't you please find me? I am here...
Waiting for you.

I wrote this when I was a mere girl of 18.  Two decades plus have passed  and  it's  funny  how one's  wishes  are much the same. I shared  much  of  my  writing  back then with school chums. I've recently seen this on-line.  Some of the  words were changed, but it's mine alright. I'm actually flattered and glad it's being shared. But one thing... The "Unknown Author", it's me.  *smiling*
