| "California" Such wondrous lavish land I see, Pastel fields and golden spaces. Forever green and shaded paths, A true template of Heavens graces. Sweeping plains of various tones, Many vibrant, some subdued. Your quiet deserts, calm and still, Brilliant sun and moonlit hued. Up and down your scenic coast, The vast Pacific lines your shore. A glistening mist over cresting waves, Musically beckoning sounds I adore. Majestic redwoods climb the heights, Carressing your powder blue sky, Soft sprinkling rain like tiny gems, Create rainbows on horizons high. You're a playground for humanity, With noble mountains standing tall. By diverse nature and history, You've opened your arms to all. I'm an adopted soul from a far off land, In my search I travel and roam. Though this world holds many splendours, California, I call you my home. Charlotte |
