Most of us who Ride, Compete on and love our old Race bikes developed our love for the sport sometime in our youth. But with the present day lifestyles, land use issues and liability to everyone from the promotor to the manufractors of our equipment, we all wonder where the future of our sport will come from. But, I am here to say the future is brighter than we sometimes think. Here are some photos taken at the STRA Huntland Tn. Youth Trial in March of 2001.
The Southeastern Trials Riders Assoication, (STRA) holds Youth Trials at all of it's Modern events, with the youth trials being held in the morning prior to the start of the adult events. These youth trials are geared for youngsters from 5 to15 and are set with the kids in mind. For more information on classes, and events click on the STRA Logo to link to the STRA home page found near the bottom of this page. The youth classes have there own championship, as well as there own National, which is held in June at the Trials Training Center in TN.

Besides the Youth Trials, The STRA hosts both Vintage and Modern Trials throughout the Southeast from February through November. Vintage events are held on Sat. and the Youth and Modern rounds being held on Sun. In 2001, the STRA will be hosting 10 Vintage rounds, with the season ending with a two day Dual STRA and AHRMA Trials in Dickson Tn on Oct. 6&7, and 12 Modern rounds, ending on Nov. 10 & 11 in gadsden Alabama. The STRA will also be the host Club for the 2001 Youth Nationals held on June 1 at the Trials Training Center in TN.

So you want ROCKS, well, we got ROCKS here in the Southeast and Curt Comer, the Trial Master at the Huntland event knows how to use them in the sections. Many of you will remember Curt was the 1981 National Champion in the Champ class, as well as 2000 National 40+ champ.
