Who is ChaplainRik?

Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God's law but am under Christ's law), so as to win those not having the law. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings. (1Cor. 9:19-23)

I was born in the mid 1950's. I am married to a wonderful woman and am the father of two great daughters.

I am licensed as a non-denominational Christian minister. At present I work a full time secular job to pay my bills and my dream is to take an early retirement so I may devote my time to full time ministry. When not at work or performing ministry functions I love to relax with music. I am an amateur musician and can carry a tune on most woodwinds, the guitar and the piano. I am currently trying to teach myself the bagpipes (I am also trying the patience of those around me while I do so).

I also love to vacation and spend time in nature admiring the handiwork of God as I spend time resting. Another way I love to spend my time is with family and friends.
