It feels just like I have.
I cannot help but feeling,
You're the friend I never had.
I heard so much about you,
Mostly good not bad.
I feel just like I knew you,

I heard about your "KD" fun,
Jess knows what I mean.
Memories flood from life to death,
And we remember those in between.
And though you can't be here today,
To have so much more fun.
We sadly remember all the good times,
But our lives are now undone.
She promised I would meet you,
I looked forward to that day.
But I never got to see you,
Before you forever went away.
I wish I knew you better,
Or met you at least once.
But all I know are the words of you,
I've been hearing for many months.
The way she talks of who you are,
It's like your'e here with me.
I guess that should be past tense,
Since you again we will not see.
I can't believe it's forever Mike,
My heart won't say it's true.
And even though you're not with us,
Mike, we'll remember you.
