Episode 1-----
This episode introduces the series to the viewers. Almost all of the major characters are introduced.
Yugi and Joey are playing Duel Monsters at school, with Tea and Tristan watching on. After school, they decide to go to Yugi's house. Yugi says that he'll get his grandpa to show them a super-rare card. That comment catches Kaiba's ear.

At Grandpa card store, Grandpa shows them the Blue Eyes White Dragon card -- only four exist in the world. It is here when Kaiba comes into the store. Joey offers to play Duel Monsters with him, but Kaiba's haughty attitude simply ticks Jounouchi off.

Kaiba sees the Blue Eyes White Dragon, and offers a trunk case full of cards in a trade. Grandpa turns it down, since he got the card from his best friend.

Kaiba forces Grandpa into a duel, but Yugi and company arrive too late. There, Kaiba tears up Granpa's Blue Eyes White Dragon. You can only put three of any card in a deck, so he doesn't want any opponent to have the fourth one.

Grandpa tells Yugi to duel, giving him his deck of cards. Yugi accepts.

The battle takes place quickly, with one of Kaiba's Blue Eyes coming out and annihilating Yugi's monsters one after another. He plays the second Blue Eyes, but Yugi draws and plays the Sealing Swords of Light to buy some time. But there isn't much Yugi can do. Grandpa comes to Yugi in a vision, and tells him the cards that are in his hand are pieces of a puzzle -- for the unrivaled summon of Exodia.

As the duel progresses, Kaiba's third Blue Eyes comes out. In the end, Yugi draws the final piece for Exodia, completing the set of five, and winning the game.

Episode 2-----
Another game is being played at school again. This time, it's between Joey and Tea. Tea wins handidly.

Joey wonders who he can never win, when Yugi tells him that his deck needs to be composed of a combination of Monster and Magic cards. Joey then begs Yugi to teach him.

At Grandpa's store, Grandpa offers to start teaching Joey.

Some time later in the month, Yugi and friends are watching the Japanese Duel Monsters tournament on television, which is between Weevil and Rex Raptor. Weevil wins

At this time, Grandpa gives Yugi a package that came. It has a video tape in it. Once played, Pegasus  introduces himself, and uses the power of his Millennium Eye to freeze everyone but Yugi, so that they may play a game. The game will last for fifteen minutes. At the end of that time, the person with the higher Life Points will win.

As the duel progresses, Yugi comes to the conclusion that Pegasus can read his mind. Yugi thinks he has the battle won, but a trick card from Pegasus take Yugi's Life Points to lower than his, and Pegasus wins.

Yugi is going to refuse Pegasus' offer to be in the Duelist Kingdom tournament, when Pegasus steals Yugi Grandpa's soul to force Yugi to come to the Duelist Kingdom.

Episode 3-----
Yugi is in thought on the roof of the school. He has made up his mind to go to the Duelist Kingdom.

At this time, Joey gets a video tape from his sister. She wanted to send him a tape so that he wouldn't forget what she looked like. She wanted to see his face one last time.

On his way home from school, Yugi finds an envelope with four special cards in it.

The next day at school, Yugi and company are considering the cards. One indicates that there will be a large amount of prize money given to the winner. Joey takes special interest in that card.

Yugi finds Joey on the roof of the school. Here, Yugi and Joey have a talk about when they met.

The next evening, Yugi makes his way to the meeting place to go to the Duelist Kingdom, which will be by boat. He's in line, when he sees Joey getting into trouble when he tries to get into the ship.

Even though he doesn't have any Star Chips, items which are needed for a person to enter the tournament, Yugi give him one so that he can get into the tournament.

In another area, Tea and Tristan are trying to get onto the ship. On the boat, Yugi and Joey run into Mai Valentine, Weevil and Rex Raptor.

Later in that evening, Yugi and Joey run into Weevil. Weevil wishes to see the Exodia cards that Yugi defeated Kaiba with, then he tosses them overboard. Joey dives in after them, then Yugi follows. They are saved by Tea and Tristan. Joey then tells them about his sister, and why he wants to go the Duelist Kingdom.

Episode 4-----
Yugi and friends arrive at the Duelist Kingdom, where Pegasus explains the rules of the tournament. In a duel, players will bet Star Chips. Those who have ten can get into Pegasus' castle. Those who lose all of their Star Chips will be expelled from the tournament.

As the group walks, they finally find and confront Weevil. Yugi and Weevil begin their duel.

Yugi tells Weevil to bet two Star Chips. Even though Yugi has only one Star Chip, he bets his deck against Weevil's other Chip.

Early in the duel, Weevil tries to surprise Yugi with a new rule that is used in the Kingdom, which increases a monster's power if they match the terrain. That proves fruitless, as Yugi already figured it out. However, he is surprised by the fact that monsters that match the terrain cancel out effects on those that don't match the terrain.

Yugi has to wait for his chance, but at that time, Weevil plays his deadliest combo, the Basic Insect Combo. Yugi can't attack, or he'll be destroyed by the combo.

Eventually, Yugi places a card, and when Weevil attacks, he activates the card, " Mirror Force", reflecting the attack back at all of Haga's monsters.

Episode 5-----
Yugi has just reflected back Weevil's attack, destroying all of his monsters, and doing a lot of damage to his Life Points. Tea and company remark that the game will be a piece of cake, but Mai steps in and states otherwise.

Weevil announces that he has a trump card that would be coming soon. Weevil plays a monster, but Yugi doesn't attack, since Weevil still has a placed card on the Field.

Yugi then plays Monster Recall, bringing his monsters back to his hand, and shuffling them into his deck, giving him a new hand of five cards. He plays Kuribo and attacks, activating Weevil's Parasite Worm, getting rid of it, but destroying the Kuribo in the process.

Weevil laughs, telling him that he it's all been according to plan. Weevil plays the Evolutionary Cocoon card on his monster, the Larva Moth. Weevil tells Yugi that the Perfectly Evolves Great Moth will appear in five turns, and will defeat him.

Yugi tries to attack the Cocoon with Dark Knight Gaia, but with the Field Power Source, the Cocoon's defense strength is too high. Yugi plays another monster.

The turns pass by, but taking a hint from Joey, Yugi summons Curse of Dragon, and plays Scorched Earth to burn away the forest under the Cocoon, lowering the defense strength. Yugi attacks the Cocoon, but it's too late to stop the Great Moth from coming out.

Weevil's Great Moth flies, and just before it attacks, Yugi plays a card. Ruiz is destroyed, along with Dark Knight Gaia.

Or so he thinks. Yugi played the Fusion card, combining Curse of Dragon and Dark Knight Gaia into Dragon Knight Gaia. Their attack strengths are equal at first, but Weevil reveals that the attack of the Great Moth spreads poison pollen, which continually decreases Gaia's attack strength. Yugi plays the Demon Rain card to wash the pollen off, soaking all of the monsters in play.

It's not enough, as the attack strength of Gaia is low enough for the Moth to destroy it. Yugi is left with very little LP.

Yugi laughs, stating that Gaia was just bait. Yugi summons Summoned Skull. Since the Demon has an electrical attack, and the Great Moth is soaked, the Demon's attack strength is increased. The Demon handidly toasts the Moth, and wins the match for Yugi. Haga is removed from the tournament, and Jounouchi takes Weevil's duel glove.

Episode 6-----
With the battle with Weevil out of the way, it's Joey's turn to duel, but the group runs into Mai Valentine. Mai challenges him, and everyone thinks he can't win, but Yugi gives him the thumbs up that he can.

Joey starts the battle with Mai, but her Harpy Lady proves to be too much a problem since it matches up with the mountains. Not only that, it can fly, which eliminates the Field Power Source on the enemy monsters when it attacks.

Joey's monster's are cut down, but with some words from Yugi, Joey brings out the Baby Dragon. Mai plays Ten-Thousand Reflections, turning her Harpy Lady into three.

Joey finally draws the Time Magician card (NOTE: In the comic during this scene, Yugi uses the Millennium Puzzle to cheat, helping Jounouchi draw the card.), and uses it to turn the Baby Dragon into the Millennium Dragon. It has the side-effect of aging Mai's Harpy Ladies, and all it takes is one swift hit from the Millennium Dragon's Millennium Nose Breath to incinerate them, and win Jounouchi the match.

Episode 7-----
Yugi and company are on the lookout for food, since no one brought any. Anzu expected a huge event to have a lot of food to offer. Jounouchi smells something, and takes off in a direction.

They find some fish cooking, but no one around. Jounouchi and Honda are about to snag it when Ryouta Kajiki pops up out of the water, demanding the fish back. Kajiki eventually realizes Yugi is there, and allows them to eat.

When finished, as they are about to leave, Kajiki challenges Yugi to a duel, since he gave them food. Yugi accepts.

Starting the duel on the sea, Yugi can't see the first monster that Kajiki has played, since it stays under the water. Yugi tries to attack in various ways, but is unable to, and succumbs to Kajiki's "Sea Stealth Attack." Yugi plays a Silver Fong, then the Full Moon card to enhance the monster.

Kajiki brings out Leviathan, and with an attack, turns Yugi's side of the Field almost all into water as well, with only one place to play monsters. He summons a Rock Soldier in defense mode.

Kajiki carelessly surrounds Yugi's monster will all of his own. Yugi puts the Rock Soldier into attack mode, and then attacks the Moon card above the Field. The water from Yugi's side recedes, exposing all of Kajiki's monsters. Yugi summons Curse of Dragon and plays Scorched Earth, and annihilates all of Kajiki's monsters. Winning him the duel.

Kajiki thanks Yugi for the duel, and then jumps into the sea again.

Episode 8-----
At Pegasus' castle, someone makes his way out of the window with the help of a rope.

Finising up the duel with Kajiki, the group runs into a boy being taken away by Pegasus' henchman. They try to rescue him but fail, and the henchman explains that all of the boys Star Chips were lost. The boy then tells them that they were stolen, along with his cards. After chasing both the boy and the henchman to the departing boat, Yugi and company tell him that they'll track down the person who stole them.

Waiting at the duel ring in the field, the thief shows up, challenging Yugi to a duel. It comes out that the thief is actually Mokuba, trying to defend the Kaiba Corporation. Pegasus' is after the corporation for some reason, and as Mokuba tells them what he overheard, if Pegasus can get Yugi to lose the tournament, the Big Five of the Kaiba Corporation will take the company from the now-absent Kaiba, and give it to Pegasus.

Yugi convinces Mokuba that he will defeat Pegasus, and that he should give back the Star Chips and cards he stole.

Back at the dock, the ship has already left. The henchman grabs Mokuba. Yugi challenges the man to a duel, but he won't duel; there is a special opponent in mind for Yugi.

When returning to the duel ring, they find Kaiba standing there.

Episode 9-----
The henchman of Pegasus reveals that it is not Kaiba that is standing there, but Kaiba's ghost, who died because of his grudge against Yugi. Yugi refuses to believe it, but decides to duel anyway.

Kaiba starts out with the same monster he did in the earlier battle (a Cyclops), but Yugi brings out the Black Magician and destroys it. Then, Kaiba brings out a Blue Eyes White Dragon.

Meanwhile, the real Seto Kaiba makes his way into his mansion, which is now surrounded with Pegasus' guards.

The fake Kaiba decides not to attack, but instead places a cards.

Yugi puts his monsters in defense mode, and plays a Curse of Dragon in defense mode. Kaiba then activates his card, Defense Seal, turning all of Yugi's monsters to attack mode, and prevent him from playing further monsters in defense mode. He then destroys the Curse of Dragon.

Kaiba tries to hack into the main computer of the Industrial Illusion Company to find out what is going on.

Remembering his vow to Mokuba, Yugi believes that Kaiba is really alive, and plays the Magical Silk Hat card, hiding his Black Magician in one of four Silk Hats. Yugi goads the fake Kaiba into attack. And the Burst Stream flies at one of the Silk Hats...

Episode 10-----
...and hits the wrong one. Yugi looks smug and places a card on the field, being hidden in one of the three remaining Hats. However, he tells Kaiba that one of them has a Trap card in it.

Kaiba attacks...and hits the one with the Trap card, the Hexagram Curse. Blue Eyes White Dragon is prevented from attacking, and its attack strength is reduced. Yugi attacks with the Black Magician, destroying Blue Eyes.

Before he has time to savor the victory, Kaiba brings out another Blue Eyes and destroys the Black Magician.

Meanwhile, the real Kaiba has broken into the I^2 main computer, and finds that he has to help Yugi in order to save his own company. He begins to upload a virus to the Blue Eyes.

Yugi has no choice but to play a Gremlin in attack mode. The fake Kaiba is about to end the battle when Blue Eyes begins to glow, and even though it attacks, its fails, and disappears.

It comes out that the Kaiba is a fake, and it reveals itself to be the Death Imitator (with a new shape). It keeps playing monsters in defense mode, when Yugi finally brings out the Holy Elf card, and enhances it with the Tome of Secrets Magic card.

The Imitator draws the final Blue Eyes and attacks, but Yugi reflects the attack back with Mirror Force...which is in turned negated by the Attack Nullification card.

Yugi's final trump card is to play the Raise Dead card, bringing one of Kaiba's Blue Eyes back into play, and then with the power of the Holy Elf's chanting, annihilates the Imitator's Blue Eyes, and wins the match for Yugi.

After the battle, Yugi and company realize that Mokuba is gone.

Episode 11-----
The search for Mokuba has failed, and finally agree that he was probably taken into Pegasus' castle. Jounouchi finds some cards that turn out to be Honda's. Finding the Bariabrian #1, he convinces Honda to let him use it for a while.

Meanwhile, Mai is contemplating her defeat at the hands of Jounouchi. Noticable ticked off, she runs into Dinosaur Ryuzaki, who wants another duel for what happened on the ship. She agrees, but has a condition...

The groups runs into Mai Kujaku again, and wants her servant, Dinosaur Ryuzaki, to duel him. But this time there's to be no help from the audience. Jounouchi accepts, despite what everyone else things. Honda runs off, being ticked off after being punched.

In the first turn, Jounouchi draws both the Time Magician and Baby Dragon. He plays the Baby Dragon, but it promptly gets squashed.

Jounouchi is on the losing end until he draws the Flame Swordsman, and begins annihilating dinosaur after dinosaur...

Until Ryuzaki's Evilnight Dragon comes out, making short work of the Swordsman.

With the return of Honda to the scene, Jounouchi gets both Barbarians out, and when the Evilnight Dragon attacks, its attack is reflected back at the Dragon by the one of the Barbarians.

Ryuzaki just smiles, with an ace up his sleeve.

Episode 12-----
Jounouchi's Barbarians begins their assault, when Ryuzaki finally plays Red Eyes Black Dragon, and attaches the Dark Dragon Claws to it. It then makes short work of the Barbarians.

Jounouchi feels like its time to give up, but Ryuzaki makes a bold move -- he offers to give Jounouchi his Red Eyes if he loses. But it he wins, Jounouchi has to fork over the Time Magician.

Jounouchi agrees...but decides to use the Time Magician, not knowing what it could do. In the end, Red Eyes turns to stone, and wins Jounouchi the match...and the super-rare Red Eyes Black Dragon.

The group looks around for food when they run into Mai. She offers to give them food, as long as they cook it. She walks off for some air, when Bakura makes his appearance.

They all talk about their favorite cards, when Bakura challenges Yugi for a fun game against his deck against everyone's favorite cards in Yugi's deck.

At least, the game was supposed to be fun, until Bakura's new personality from the Millennum Ring takes over, and traps all of their souls in Yugi's deck. Just as he's about to grab the Millennium Puzzle, the other Yugi makes his appearance, ready and willing to accept the duel.

Episode 13-----
Yugi wakes up just in time to see Bakura trying to take the Millennium Puzzle. Bakura then explains that he isn't actually Bakura, but just a duelist of darkness. He is trying to get all of the Millennium Items. A duel ensues, with Yugi's prize of all of his friends' souls back; Bakuras is the Millennium Puzzle.

Yugi starts out with a Commander, whereupon Honda appears on the field in the Commander's costume. Yugi quickly realizes that their souls were stuck in their favorite cards.

Bakura's White Thief card quickly takes out the Commander. Honda appears in the Cemetery.

Jounouchi's Flame Swordsman comes out next, and after a parley between he and Yugi, he quickly takes down the White Thief.

Bakura places a monster, and before Yugi can stop him, Jounouchi attacks. The monster turns out to be the Metamol Pot, making each player discard his or her hand and drawing five new cards.

Yugi plays the Black Magician card, and then uses Raise Dead to revive Honda.

The "Black Magician" Yugi attacks, only to find another Metamol Pot waiting. Everyone discards their hands again. Yugi draws the Saint Magician, which is Anzu's card.

Bakura places another Monster, then activates "Reap What You Sow", doing damage to Yugi for each monster he has on the field. Yugi then has to play the Saint Magician, to avoid it becoming lost to another Metamol Pot. BM Yugi attacks, but the Electric Lizard that he attacks forces him to skip attacking on the next turn.

Bakura tells him that he is summoning a Man-Eating Bug, which will destroy 1 monster on the Field when it's turned face-up. After some arguing, Jounouchi decides to take be sacrificed through Yugi's "Ascending Horn" Trap card that will negate a summon.

Just as Jounouchi is about to be assaulted by the Grim Repear in the Cemetery, Yugi gets the Raise Dead card back through Anzu, and revives Jounouchi.

Bakura attempts to play the "Change of Heart" card and gain control of BM Yugi, but the real Bakura takes over and possesses his own High Priestess. Using the power of the Millennium Puzzle, Yugi switches the real Bakura with the dark Bakura, and the BM Yugi attack, sending the dark Bakura into the Cemetery, and into the hands of the Grim Reaper.

At the end of the game, Bakura explains where he got the Millennium Ring. At that time, everyone wakes up, and things it was all just a dream. They hear a scream, and rush to find out who it is.

Episode 14-----
As they rush to find out, they see it is Mai who has lost all of her Star Chips to an individual called the "Player Killer", which means she is disqualified. Yugi resolves to beat him down, and get Mai's Star Chips back.

As Yugi starts, the Player Killer bets all of the Chips that he took from Mai, and since Yugi doesn't have enough to cover them all, the Player Killer activates a pair of ankle shackles that holds Yugi in play. If he loses, he will lose his life.

When the Player Killer starts, he plays the Castle That Spreads The Darkness, turning the field to darkness. It prevents Yugi from seeing the PK's cards and Life Points.

Yugi probes the PK's defenses, but he can't do much of anything, and his monsters get destroyed.

But there is one thing that Yugi learns that he can attack with -- his voice. Yugi begins to slowly wear down the PK's attitude and self-confidence by calling him a "coward".

The second thing that he learns is that darkness has one fear -- and that's light. He tells the PK that the game's going to end in five turn, and shows him his trump card, Sealing Swords of Light." Yugi plays a Curse of Dragon and places a card.

The PK plays the Card-Hunting Grim Reaper to get rid of Yugi's placed card, which he thinks is the Swords.

He thought it was. It turned out to be a Hexagram Curse, freezing the Reaper in its place.

Yugi then places the Swords and another card. But what is the other card?

Episode 15-----
The PK plays the King of the Demon Realm, and attacks Yugi's Curse of Dragon, but hits the Reaper instead, reducing the PK's Life Points.

Yugi finally uses the Swords, showing the PK's monsters and Life Points. PK draws and plays the Chaos Shield card, blanketing all of his monsters in a force field.

Yugi breaks it to the PK that he has played his own doom. he play Dark Knight Gaia and uses the placed Fusion card, turning it into Dragon Knight Gaia. During the next turn, he plays the Catapult Turtle, loads Gaia onto it, and launches it at the Castle.

The levitation ring on the Castle is destroyed, yet it is still floating. The PK foolishly puts his monsters in attack mode while waiting for his next turn.

Once again, Yugi breaks the bad news to the PK. The SWORDS are the things that are keeping the Castle up, and since it's the end of the PK's turn, the Swords disappear, and the Castle drops. Unfortuantely, his monsters can't get away because of the Chaos Shield, and they are all destroyed, reducing his Life Points to zero.

After a Mind Crush, Yugi retrieve's Mai's Star Chips. Even though he offers to give them back, Mai doesn't feel that she can accept them. But with a little prodding from Jounouchi, she takes them and vows to repay the favor back to Yugi very soon.

Episode 16-----
It is the dead of night when a helicopter wakes Yugi and company. It's Kaiba, who is ready to confront Pegasus. Jounouchi doesn't want him to stand in the way of them defeating Pegasus, so he demands a duel with Kaiba.

Kaiba just happens to have his Duel Disks with him, in which they can play without the Duel Ring.

When all is said and done, Jounouchi loses somewhat miserably, even with his Red Eyes Black Dragon. Kaiba is impressed, but only for a brief moment, and before bringing out Blue Eyes to annihilate Red Eyes.

Kaiba then states that Yugi won't be able to defeat Pegasus. Kaiba then tells the story of when he first met Pegasus at a the King of Duelists tournament in New York city. Pegasus was to fight a man named Keith Howard, who was nicknamed Bandit Keith. Instead, Pegasus writes some information down on a paper, and has a young boy duel in his stead.

By following the paper, the boy wins handidly, and Keith has a nervous breakdown, after finding that his attack and card pattern were written down on the paper.

Kaiba then makes his way to Pegasus' castle.

Episode 17-----
Jounouchi has a nightmare about his confrontation with Kaiba. He wakes up, and everyone else in the process, so that they can all get going.

As they walk along and talk, unbeknownst to them, they are being watched by three individuals. The three people then make their way back to an area where none other than Bandit Keith is waiting for them. His goal is to make it into the Castle and pay Pegasus back for making a fool out of him. Their plan will be to grab Jounouchi and force him to duel. Bandit Keith shows ghost Kotsuzuka around to where the Cemetery Field is, in addition to adding some of his own cards to Kotsuzuka's deck to make it a perfect Ghost deck.

As Yugi and company walk around, Jounouchi needs to take a short time-out. While the rest wait, Jounouchi "does his business," but is promptly knocked out by one of the men from earlier.

He awakens in a Duel Ring, just as the duel is about to start. Jounouchi would normally turn down such underhanded tactics in forcing him to duel, but accepts after they start to call him a "losing dog." However, if he loses, it'll mean he's disqualified from the tournament for losing all four of his start chips.

Meanwhile, Yugi and company are searching for Jounouchi, but to no avail.

The duel starts, and as Kotsuzuka is making moves, Keith tells him to play something other than a Ghost card. Jounouchi voices his "displeasure" at his opponent being helped.

Kotsuzuka brings out more monsters (at Keith's advice), but Jounouchi's monsters rip right through them one after another.

Then Kotsuzuka's trump card comes out, "Cry of the Living Dead." This revives all of the monsters that Jounouchi destroyed as zombies.

Yugi and company find the entrance to the cave that Jounouchi is in, where they run into props.

Back at the duel, Jounouchi is in deep. His monsters counterattack, but it's no use as the zombies simply regenerate.

Jounouchi's in trouble, and he knows it.

Episode 18-----
Not only does the Cry of the Living Dead raise Kotsuzuka's monsters, it allows them to gain the Field Power Bonus. AND when they're destroyed and brought back, their attack strength is increased by ten percent.

In the other area of the cave, Yugi and company have lost Bakura, but find him again. Unfortunately, Bakura sets off a trap where a boulder comes rolling for them. (The rest of this scene is ommitted in this summary; it's so funny that you have to see it for yourself.)

Jounouchi tries to use the Time Magician's Time Magic, but fails, and his Life Points are reduced. Kotsuzuka plays the Pumpking, which begins to power up his Ghost cards. He begins to annihilate Jounouchi's cards one after another; Jounouchi has no choice but to put his monsters in defense mode.

Yugi and company finally find Jounouchi. There is a short scuffle with Keith's henchmen. Honda reminds Jounouchi to keep fighting for his sister.

Jounouchi keeps fighting, playing his Red Eyes Black Dragon, but it's still no use as it's destroyed by Kotsuzuka's Dragon Zombie.

It's then where Yugi tells Jounouchi that he has a card that can change the tide. Jounouchi draws it, "Shield in the Right Hand, Sword in the Left Hand". Playing it reverses the attack and defense strengths of all monsters. This turns the zombies' attack strength to 0. Jounouchi's monster destroys the Dragon Zombie, and he wins the duel.

As Yugi and company try to make their way out of the cave, Keith's men seal the cave off with a boulder. He then beats up his men to get their Star Chips...enough to get into Pegasus' castle.

Episode 19-----
Inside the cave, the boulder isn't budging. The group is forced to find another way out. With some help from Bakura's Millennium Ring, they make their way through something that looks like a maze, to a big room. There, they encounter Mei and Kyuu, the Labyrinth Brothers.

In order for them to get out of the cave, they will need to defeat the Brothers in a tag-team duel. Yugi and Jounouchi versus Mei and Kyuu. In this duel, if either member of a team is reduced to zero Life Points, the game is over. After winning, they will have to choose a door to exit the labyrinth. If Yugi and Jounouchi win this duel, they can both get into Pegasus' castle.

Outside on the island, Kaiba is making his way to the castle.

The "board" that the teams are playing on has different rules. Monsters move like chess pieces, one space per their level.

The problem is that one of them is telling the truth, and one is telling lies. Jounouchi things that he has it figured out, but Yugi is skeptical, and tells him to worry about it later.

Yugi is the first to send a monster into the labyrinth, but it is cut down by the Wall Shadow -- which can move along the wall (which are not spaces), so it can move as far as it wants.

Jounouchi places a card, and leaves his monster near him so that it can't be attacked. Kyuu send a Labyrinth Tank into the labyrinth, and sets up a trap. Yugi sends another monster into the labyrinth, but just as it's about to be destroyed, Jounouchi wraps it up in the Chained Boomerang, and Yugi destroys it.
Episode 20-----
Kaiba meets Sawaratari in the forest outside of the castle, and with some fancy footwork, forces him to take him into the castle.

Jounouchi sends out his Flame Swordsman, and Yugi his Black Magician, but the brothers play the Labyrinth Change card, changing the walls of the labyrinth, and splitting up Jounouchi's and Yugi's monsters. Jounouchi moves around, but Kyuu activates the Landmine Spider card, turning it into a monster and destorying the Axe Raider.

Jounouchi's Flame Swordsman is about to be destroyed, when Yugi plays the Magic Box of Death, destroying the Landmine Spider, and then destroying the Labyrinth Tank with the Black Magician.

The brothers are waiting for the three Guardians, in order to complete the Gate Guardian. Kyuu plays his Dungeon Worm, and sends it out, where it destroys the Elven Swordsman. Yugi plays the Magical Silk Hat card, hiding the Black Magician and the Flame Swordsman.

The brothers play the Monster Tamer, which allows the Dungeon Worm to increase its power. The Dungeon Worm misses, though. Jounouchi pops his Swordsman out of the hat, and plays the Salamander card, to increase its attack strength and destroy the Dungeon Worm.

However, the brothers gets the final Guardian and create the Gate Guardian.

In the castle basements, Kaiba and Sawaratari walk around toward the dungeon. However, Sawaratari trips an alarm to bring the guards.

And the Gate Guardian fires on Jounouchi Flame Swordsman...
