Here are some new secret orders of magicians. The descriptions are very basic so you will have to fleshen them out a bit. I might find time later to expand them somewhat as they are underdeveloped to say the least, but not in the near future.
Inficio Corpus | Ordo Dominium Designo | The Cabal
This order was founded by the enchanter Mario Bellini from Tilea some 20 years ago. It consists of two battle mages and two enchanters, including Mario himself, and an apprentice. They all live and practice in Wusterburg in Wissenland. As well as being a wizard, Mario is a merchant and owns a small store dealing with dry goods. His son has taken over the day to day running of the business allowing Mario to research in peace. Mario and one of the battle mages in the Inficio Corpus are both licensed as battle mages, the other two are illegal. They have set up a laboratory as well as a library in the cellar of a warehouse, owned by Mario. The members of the Inficio Corpus are obsessed with the study of enchanting recently dead corpses with life. All of them have lost loved ones and are hoping to prevent that from ever happening again. Their goal is to be able to permanently restore a recently dead creature to life, through enchantments, not necromancy. And though none of the members would ever admit it, to themselves or anybody else, their studies are nothing more than one form of necromancy. Their studies have taken them deeper and deeper into necromantic studies and one of the illegal members, Johann Hauptmann, has become quite prominent in the (real) necromantic arts, although without the knowledge of the others. They have gathered a large collection of tomes dealing with necromantic matters and have created several enchanter spells designed to further their goals. These spells have only had, more or less, necromantic effects so far, only resulting in failed attempts, animating zombies and similar.
This order does consist of spellcasters of various specializations, but all have the same field of interest, runes. There are nine members consisting of four battle mages, one illusionist, one elementalist, one runemaster and two enchanters. One of the battle mages has been lead into studying dark magic in quicker search for power. Founded several centuries ago, the Ordo Dominium Designo is now lead by the infamous mage Eric Schnart. The members use most their time in research of the nature of runes, how to make new ones and how to incorporate them into the normal fields of magick. The activities of the organization are then funded by the revenue of making and selling runic items. The members frequently move from place to place as the dwarves are ever after them, trying to prevent the usage of the stolen runes. In the last recent years, the order has lost several members to the vengeance of the bearded folk.
The Cabal is one of the largest, if not the largest, secret organization of spellcasters in the Empire. The members live all around the Empire and a handful come from other countries in the Old world. There are three basic requirements for gaining admittance, one is to be an enchanter, the second is to be licensed (although over the last years this rule has been overlooked a few times) and the third is to submit something valuable and of interest to the library sometime within the first year (in which time they are not allowed to study there). The order has an extensive magickal library and that is the main thing that attracts new members. The Cabal has been around for a millennia and now there are over 25 members. It has been headed by Gustave Teuler, an enchanter of great prowess and much renown, for the last two decades. Once a year, members of The Cabal hold a convention in Altdorf where they share their knowledge, theories and discoveries. These conventions are always attended by members of the church of Sigmar, which make sure that nothing unwanted takes place and report what goes on. Gustave has grown tired of unwanted and tiresome meddling into the affairs of The Cable. It is suspected that for a decade he has every year summoned the members to a second convention, free from the scrutiny of the authorities. This is in fact the case and although the authorities have nothing to fear, as nothing dangerous or illegal is going on there (except the convention itself), they are desperately trying to seek out the meeting place (which is in an old complex inside the Drakwald forest) and trying to put an end to the whole thing. But lacking any evidence, they have not (yet) put an end to the activities of The Cabal in general.
