Fantasy Dragons, and the Komodo Dragon, fiction, and fact, both come together here.
This is not my picture! I found it here.
I think that is the site of the person who drew this, and they deserve all credit for this pciture.
The komodo dragon is the largest living lizard and has been around since the Jurassic Period. It lives in southern Indonesia and can grow up to 8 feet long and weigh 200 pounds. It can live to be 200 years old. 20 to 40 eggs are incubated over eight months and the babies usually live in trees for the first two years of their lives. They spend the days sunning and the nights in shallow burrows. These creatures are solitary and can move very quickly over short distances, running as fast as a dog.

They are primary example of instinct, survival, quick decisions, and change. These powerful creatures usually hunt by ambush. One bite will usually kill because the bacteria in its saliva is so potent that, if the attack doesn't kill, the poison will. It generally tears apart it's prey, will eat dead things, and will even turn on its own kind. It can surprise its prey by standing up on its hind legs during the attack. It has a powerful tail which it will whip about in defense and which can deliver a crushing blow.

Related to the dragon of myth, the komodo presents a fiery energy that can be used to change the climate of your life. Its appearance heralds that now is a time of change, creative impulse, and timing. It also foretells of journeys and adventures both spiritually and physically. Any timing will usually be within the next eight months.

If Komodo has appeared in your life's symbolism, dreams, or reality it's a good sign that the time to strike is now. Everything you do will take on a greater force and power. It may also be a sign that you should learn to speak less poisonously and more gently. Be wary of anyone that you sense is lurking on the sidelines waiting to ambush you, or crush your endeavors with a quick, unexpected effort.

I recently encountered, Mr. Komodo, in a traditional journey to the Underworld. I was quite surprised and, believe me when I tell you he wasn't there to entertain or fool around. He's a powerful teacher, with a business attitude, and has no qualms about latching onto you to 'move' you to where you need to be! He's fiery and fast and if his energies are around you better be ready to rock and roll.
