A centennial farm was missed in our first volume and is noted here.
The original Kirkby farm of 40 acres, where the buildings are located, was purchased in 1882 by Joseph and Ann Kirkby. It was known at one time as the C. McMaster farm and is located at the west end of what is now Wren Drive.The second owners were (son) George and Augusta Kirkby.The third owners were George L. and Frankie Kirkby.
George L. died some years ago but Frankie still lives on in the original house.
The barn too is original and still in good condition.
