Mating helps speed up the process.Once it has been reborn twice go through the stages collecting all 21 animals including the black, gold, and blue animals.Give it one of each animal. Giving it a chao fruit after you give it all the animals will speed up the process but you do not have to give it one.Before it changes make sure that the chai us neutal before it changes. Now wait for a tear shaped cacoon and some weird music and you have your new light chao! The great thing about light chao is that they never die unless, of course, you starve it to death.
