Thank you all for being so committed to the excellence of the color guard. 04/26/08 AuditionsAuditions already?!?!?!?!Yup, it's that time :) Guard never really ends, you just roll-over into the next season! I'm very excited and have high expectations for the 2008-2009 year. April 28 - May 2 Clinics will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 6pm-8pm. Auditions will be Friday evening starting at 6pm. If you cannot make the clinic times, get with a friend to learn the routines. If you cannot make the audition time, let me know ASAP so we can make arrangements for an early audition. Everyone is required to audition with the dance routine and flag routine. Rifle and sabre are for veteran members only, and I highly encourage them to learn the routines and tryout. The Chantilly Winter Guard was a finalist in AIA Championships, coming in at 6th place. At WGI Championships they performed their best show of the season and had a fantastic time watching the Open and World Class Guards. We all were inspired by what we witnessed at the UD Arena.Thank you to our seniors: Katie, Jackie, Kelly, Sarah, and Vicki for 4 great years. You have helped set the high standards and lay a strong foundation for the upcoming guard members. You will be missed. Thank you to our wonderful parent volunteers, who were there to help plan trips, drive to competitions, and make certain that the guard had everything they needed. Without your assistance, we would not have had flags, a floor, a cart, hotel rooms, or transportation to the shows. Thank you to Stonewall Jackson Winterguard Ensemble, for always being there to pull out our floor and cheer for us. Congratulations on your Gold Medal... we'll see you in A2 next year!
