Help fight for a cure
Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome
Polycystic Ovarian affects an estimated 5-10% of women and is the leading cause of infertility. I am one of the 10% that it affects. I have been fighting this disease since the age of 16.
There is no cure, although different treatment options are available.
Since my diagnosis of PCOS, I have found over whelming support on a site called SoulCysters. My cysters and I have shared fears, tears, and cheers as we face the symptoms that accompany this disease.
Doctors dont know alot about PCOS which might explain why women like myself often arent believed when we say something is wrong with us. It took me two years to finally convince a doctor that my weight gain shouldn't be blamed on my eating habits, but a problem out of my control. Since none of the treatments currently available treat all symptoms of PCOS, we are always happy when new research is being done. I ask that you visit the site the has provided me with such tremendous support.
