本劇現招募能歌善舞普通話流利演員二十餘名，誠邀有興趣人士參與演出。應徵者請以簡潔文筆描寫對詩歌、音樂或美學的認識及心得（五十字或以內），並填妥下述表格，連同半身及全身近照各一張，電郵或郵寄報名，截止報名日期為十一月下旬。入選者將於十一月下旬前獲通知第一次遴選地點及時間。

The First Leaf of Dream Song is a
romantic verse musical in two acts with eight scenes. It features a mysterious dream-like
allegory blended in lyrical charm, delightful dance and melodious zen verses:
"The myriad things under heaven fuse in veracious harmony
Exciting the esprit of poetic psyche,
sparkling a basic anthem of life."
The First Leaf of Dream Song will be
staged at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts on 8-11 April 2004.
We are now recruiting about two dozen
actors/actresses who should be fluent in Putonghua and good at singing and
dancing. Interested persons are invited to return a completed application form
to us together with two recent photographs, half-length and full length, and a
short note (within 50 words) about your understanding of poetry, music or
aesthetics. Applications can be sent via mail or email by 23 November 2003.
Successful applicants will be informed of the date and venue of the first
audition by 30 November 2003.
