Synopsis
This was my first attempt at a personal zine at which I finished around May of 2004. It took a couple months to compose and I distributed it out around a few coffee shops in town, and tried to give them away at punk shows. I received a considerable amount of positive feedback from friends, as well as some new faces. For that I am greatful for. I like feedback, or even constructive criticism.

Anyhow, I am quite happy how the way the layout went and am satisfied with the content. Its a little difficult re-reading some of these stories and such, because I really didn't know much about writing at the time and hadn't quite acheived my own style or rythmn. With that said, I think I could have done a lot worse.

I didn't want to write a zine that glorified my ego and made me look like a better person than I really am. I wanted to  include some of the issues I was dealing with at the time, and that's where the Transit story and the introduction came into place. I was also struggling with how religion has had an affect on me, which is blatantly obvious in The Beast and Disco Inferno.

I love the cover art, which is lifted from the Jack Chick Christian propaganda comic-fliers that born-again's used to hand out to non-believers and leave next to payphones.

Overall, I think the whole zine is amateurish, a little to egocentric, not as funny as it could be, and too overdramatic. However, #1 sets a good foundation for what I'm trying to do and how I hope to convey the way I see the world.

Thanks for your time!
