January 1986
The day of the Challenger disaster, all of Houston's News operations went into full speed. In this snapshot, Dan O'Rourke gives a brief update on the day's events (up to 3:30 P, at least)
February 1987
This is an example of Bulletins that would come up during the day, telling what would be on later newscasts

The 10 PM open ID stating the simulcast was in Spanish, The Talent portion of the open, and an OTS w/ Ron.
January 1989
Here are a variety of snaps. The ones with Sylvia and Jan are from seperate update segments. The others are examples of various graphics at the time.

2 Versions of the NewsStar2 Graphics. The first is before the updated graphics came about. The second (complete with the newer "Brass 2") comes from around July 1988.
This scene is from 1988, one of the years KPRC had the MDA Telethon on the floor of The Summit (Now Compaq Center). KPRC is known for instituting the "Fishbowl" that people dropped donations, and raising over 2 million dollars for several consecutive years in the 1980s (A record yet to be broken)
3 different versions of "Coming Up" Graphics. Notice the "Information" moves in different directions in each one. The lines that constantly moved, along with the titles that had no spaces (NewsStar2, ChannelTwoNews,SKY2)  represented the constant flow of information.
