Swaying gently to the music that only she could hear she stared at her reflection in the mirror. Never had she seen anything grander. Smiling and turning around and posing Drusilla laughed and went to get the naughty Miss Edith out of the corner.
“If you promise to be a good girl Mummy will let you come dance with her and I will tell the stars to twinkle just for you.” Drusilla said to the sulking Miss Edith.
Apparently she heard Miss Edith’s promise of good behavior and immediately swung her into her arms and spun around quickly.
”The stars themselves twinkle to the beat of our song.” Drusilla crooned to the small doll in her arms.
Smiling Drusilla spun them around and around until she lost her balance and fell over giggling.
Spike watched all of this from the doorway of the room. Watched the way Drusilla stared at an empty mirror and danced with her Miss Edith.
Spike almost laughed when Drusilla smiled up at him from her position on the ground.
Moments like this made him love her so much more. The carefree moments together.
When he looked at her he could almost see his reflection in her loving eyes.
