Boost controller
This is a very simple and effective way of extracting power from any turbo charged vehicle. Bsically for the people who dont understand, it allows the turbo to force  more air into the cylinders, and in turn creates better volumetric efficiency and a hell of a lot more power.
This is one of the most common mods to a turbo car for extracting  more power, and  increasing the boost from the standard 6.5psi to 12psi will increase the power of the car by 20HP at the front wheel. This isnt a guess, i have a dyno run to prove it! for a full run down, go to
www.autospeed.com/A_0096/P_1/article.html cause this is where i got all the pics from, and they have a pretty good explination.
Ok, to the left is a turbo charger. The little red arrow is pointing to the line  you will have to modify. The canister on the right with the rod comming out of it is what limits the boost, if you are to restrict the air pressure to this, it in turn allows the turbo to produce more boost. This occurs as that shaft pushes opens a port that allows air to bipass the turbine, stopping boost from being produced.
To the right is a bisic diagram of how to limit the pressure to the wastegate canister, this is done by simply bleeding the air off that is going to it. The line between the compressor outlet and the canister is wehre the air is, so cut it and insert a ball valve and t piece. The ball valve restricts the air passing through it, so another fine adjuster valve can be placed off the tpiece.Place a line off the t piece to a needle valve, this is the  in cabin adjuster, as the ball valve restricts the flow, this allows easier fine tunign of the boost level.
This is roughly what you will need, the main bits beiing the two valves and the t piece. All connections should be 1/4 inch. you will also need a few meters of fuel line, i used about 3 i think.
All this info is helpful, but if you  want to run more than 9psi boost, you will have to do one more thing. On the drivers side of the manafauld there is a wastegate, this will vent your boost if it reaches 9psi, so you have to block it off, if you wish you can weld it up and leave it where it is, or you can do what i did and just get a plug from a plubing shop and piss it off.
Make sure when you set this all up you start with the ball valve fully opened. Slowly close the valve and monitor what your boost goes up to. This may take a few runs up and down your street, by the time i had finished the neighbour wanted to put a brick through my windscreen.
