Translation
Language is the key element of verbal communication. An information published  in mother tongue allows all the literate people to learn the facts directly. It helps to increase knowledge level of individuals and helps mass to add value to their day to day practice.

International documents, instruments, books , journals and other publications are always prepared in official languages like French, English, Spanish as it is not possible for any organization for produce materials in all official and non-official languages and make them easily availed across the globe.

As a result many people are left behind to learn about these important facts and the society get affected as a whole. Many research works have been published in official languages which may bring strong results if the information made available in local language.

Most people think in their mother tongue, so if an information made available in their own language it could best influence that person and does not create any perplexity between what is written and what is interpreted in a different language.

Considering these fact Change Initiatives has developed a wing that translate documents published in English to Bangla.  Bangla is the official language of the State of West Bengal, India and neighboring country Bangladesh.

Change Initiatives has especially restructured an English language University of Manchester handbook written by group of experts from UK on ICT-based enterprises for women with local information and case studies relevant in the context of West Bengal in Bangla.

Reading this handbook will help to  understand how women can get immediate and direct benefits from ICTs: jobs, income, skills, empowerment, etc.

The copy of the hand book has been distributed to various support agencies in West Bengal and Bangladesh.

This book is produced under "copy left" principles; any one is free to make use of its content, including modification, subject to acknowledgement of the original authorship and to use only for non-proprietary/non-copyright purposes.
