There comes a day when innocence is lost
The white feathered wings fall off
Leaving behind painful scars
For for the poor girl
For the shy girl
The happy girl
That day came too soon
Invisble blood drips down her back
Making her feel dirty, unclean
She can never wash it off
And nobody knows
And no one sees
And no one can
Ever help her
She doesn't want to be saved
And for the life of her
She can't figure out why
Oh!
And lying here on this warped wood floor
I can see each and ever grain
Magnified by the saline droplets pooling from my eyes
Patters form and shape the demons that haunt my dreams
And I can't escape them, no
I can't turn my memories off
There comes a day when innocence is lost
But for me, myself, I
This day came too soon.
