Background: I am a 5th year student in the clinical psychology program. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon. While at Oregon, I focused my studies on early child development and family functioning. More recently, my interests have focused on predictors of success and recovery for various populations.

Research Interests: My research interests focus on examining predictors of academic achievement among Native American populations. I am interested in how social support, cultural identity, family factors, and societal factors influence Native students academically. Additionally, I am interested in examining factors that contribute to successful outcomes for at-risk populations. My thesis examined the impact of social support, socioeconomic status, family education level, and acculturation on the academic achievement of a group of Native American college women. My dissertation will examine the impact of class and cultural variables on the attributional style and academic achievement of a group of Native American college students.

Clinical Interests: Currently, I work as a practicum student at the VA Medical Center at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in the Substance Abuse Unit. I work with veterans who are seeking assistance with substance issues. I conduct a weekly group regarding readiness to change and work under the supervision of a psychologist in the assessment clinic. Before working at the VA, I worked at the Psychological Services Center at OSU and conducted outpatient therapy with clients experiencing various mental health concerns.
