Background:  While attending the University of Oklahoma as an honors psychology major, I participated in several research projects, including my honors work.  That work culminated in a thesis on the alteration of the startle response in a rat model by the atypical antipsychotic Olanzapine.  During my last semester at OU, I completed an undergraduate clinical practicum at Griffin Memorial Hospital.

Research Interests:  My research interests focus on pediatric psychology, especially in relation to chronic illness and coping styles.  I plan to examine the coping patterns in children with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and their families.

Clinical Interests:  I am looking forward to working with a wide variety of clients at our university clinic.  Eventually, I would like focus on therapy with children as part of my internship experience.
