Pesticides & soil fertility
A humble request to farmers.
The page No. 25 of Rubber Monthly, December 2004
advertising for 14 types of pests to destroy by the application of poison
which will kill the soil and spoil the ground water. The adverse effects
of this poison is a curse for next generation as handicapped, deceased by
Cancer, unhealthy etc. Thus do not apply these pesticides within
your estates which is harmful your children. Fire therapy is most
effective to control the generation of pests by destroying dry leaves and
lignin as ash. Dr.V.T.Jose may get personal benefits from the
Manufacturers of these poisons. The application of poison will kill the
earth worms first which is a need for soil fertility.
I am not applying any poison like this because I and my family drinking
the water from the well. Grass, cover crops etc. are using as feed for
cows which is equivalent to production cost. The well water tested in
Public Health Laboratory states that satisfactory with PH 7.
Coco Cola & Pepsi are not responsible for poison in Ground water.
Mainly farmers are responsible for the application of poison in
agricultural sector. Now deep well water is effective as pesticide and
fungicide which can be tried by farmers as less expensive.
The following poisons manufactured by certain
particular companies are recommended by Dr.V.T.Jose of Indian
Research Institute.
Malathion, Cythion, Tataban classic, Roger,
Cyphos classic, Phorate, Thimet, Sevin, Fenval, Arfen, Dessis, Ekalux,
Lebacid, Solfac, Snailkill, Bordeaux paste, Sulphur dust, Sulfex, Kelthane,
Furadan, Ratol, Roban cake etc.
Other recommendations of Rubber Board
Except the above poisons Roundup as grass destroyer and ethephon
as stimulant (using this "hormone" in pine apple for flowering)
which are poisons.
"SAVE WATER & SOIL FREE FROM
