Do I know You?

- Chandra Shekhar Upadhyaya
We try to know and learn about people around us from the way they express themselves, the way they act and react under different circumstances. We form our opinion about them and than claim that we know them very well. And at times these people do something which hurts us. Why, because they did the unexpected, hurting our ego, invalidating our claim of knowing them.

Human expectations are endless which make our actions and reactions infinite. If we analyze our own reactions closely, we would be surprised that even we acted so strangely and unexpected of ourselves under certain circumstances. Question is, "Do we know ourselves?" If not, than why should we claim that we know others?

Even a life time is less to know ourselves, leave aside others. Our claim of knowing them gives birth to expectations from them to act / react the way we want. Something we can't control for ourselves, we want them to control. Let us liberate ourselves from expectations. Prepare ourselves to accept that we as well as those around us can act strange, unexpected, and prepare ourselves to face it. Let us make life simpler for us and those around.
