Places he has been seen and heard!

You may recognise Steven’s voice from the following adverts;

 Solero, BT, Ralgex, Esso, Guardian, Eurostar plus many promotions for BBC, Sky, Playboy!!!!, VH1. Also more recently Steven can be heard doing the intro's for new programmes due on tv soon. These include Channel 5's The Mole, and various adverts for Sky 1.

Audio books include; the "Cracker" series (for which he won an award) "Invisible Enemy in Khazakstan" and recent documentary "Penny’s Babies" (CH4).

Steve is a familiar face on TV in UK. His work includes "Eastenders", "Sharman", "The Governor", "Rumble" & "Pie in the Sky" to name but a few. . He has also just been seen in the "Trial and Retribution IV", he played a gay man, Gary Meadows, whose lover was played by James Wilby.

When Steven was 28 he was auditioned as the new James Bond and was also cast as the original 'Sharpe' but the series was shelved for two years when the Producer died.

Like most Bill actors Steven has appeared in The Bill before, he has had two separate roles, one as a murdering security guard and the other as a Detective Inspector sent on a training course with John Boulton and Reg Hollis.

Trivia: Steven Hartley was in an episode of The Bill in 1998 called "Under The Grill" as a Detective Inspector.

"Boulton pursuades Hollis to help him settle an old score during an interview training course."

The episode is quite funny and Boulton really gets back at the geezer with the help of Reg.
