SONG BIO'S
DAVE
This song was the second one we wrote, and it has some not so appropriate lyrics. Basically it's about a guy we know that had a similar experience, but to protect the not so innocent, we'll leave his full name out of it. Thanks Dave!! Some of you may not find this on your CD due to the fact that you're either too young, or you've chosen the CD with this one omitted.
ZOMBIE
Funny how this one evolved. Kevin and I were sitting in my studio one night trying to elaborate on a riff that I had come up with, and we thought it sounded like something that would fit an old time horror flick with zombies chasing people and eating their faces and what not. The only problem was that it became too much of a cliche' so we scratched the whole zombie theory, but wanted the music to remain. Then some lyrics were thought up that told a story about a guy that had just been arrested for murdering a girl (Sara Jane Fowler) and her body was discovered in a park in Chicago (Seagar Park). Who knows, maybe one day it will make a kick ass movie!!
BETTER
Kiss had their anthem (Rock And Roll All Nite) so why not have one on our CD? We thought writing something with a Punk Rock style guitar riff would add a good dimension to the album. This song is about being fed up with the same old same old and finally just leaving it all behind. "Don't try to call me...I'll be underneath a palm tree" Cool line eh?
CHANDER
WHY
This was our first song intended for the CD. (We have written dozens in years past, but felt this one was CD worthy). This song is mainly about the 9-11 attacks, but also just the state of the world as a whole. I used an acoustic 12 string as well as a clean chorused 6 string electric. The bass line was done on an acoustic 4 string bass which added a good acoustic bottom end.
EVERYBODY
Kevin came over one night and played a little riff for me on his pocket digital recorder. It had a cross between a blues type and a Bon Jovi type of feel. Within minutes of picking up a guitar, the whole entire song just rolled out in front of us. The lyrics are pretty funny. They talk about a guy that goes ass over teapot to impress a girl with flowers, and sappy lines etc, but eventually he's going to lose."everybody loses to love"
JUST FINE
Personally one of mine and Kevin's favorites on the CD. I was able to experiment with some chording in a drop D format that in my opinion sounded really full. I used my Ovation 6 string along with my Fender 12 string to build the guitar lines. The lead was played on my Ovation 6 string. The song has a ballady sort of feel don't ya think??
MISS ANONYMOUS
Ever get a melody in your head that you can't ger rid of? Well here's a good example of it. For a few months, Kevin and I would revisit this song and try to bring the melody into play with some lyrics. After several attempts, we finally came up with the idea of Miss Anonymous. It's about a guy that is infatuated over this girl he keeps seeing in a coffee place (i.e. Starbucks, or whatever you want to imagine). Although he's all fruity about her, he's too scared to approach her. Can you hear the 50's sort of structure in the song? What a cool thing to add to our album!
Baby O' Mine
You don't have to look far to know hard rock is one of our main influences in music. Kevin brought me some lyrics and described what he visualized in the song, and shortly thereafter, it was a hardcore axe slinging, grit your teeth, smack your granny type of song. This song has key elements of a Soundgarden / Alice in Chains arrangement, adding in a garnish of George Lynch influenced guitar riffs. With a combination of 2 different tempos throughout the song, and some tribal type of drumming, and if I don't mind saying so, a hot guitar lead at the end, this went on to be one of our favorites.

As you can tell on the CD, we were feeling our oats with what we sound best doing. We loved the hard rock songs we wrote, however we think and everyone we talk with thinks we sound best doing the "poppy" rock songs, such as Miss Anonymous, Just Fine, Better, etc. SOOOOO our next project will likely be more focused on that sort of sound.
One more thing Chander fans..... When the new album gets released, I'm likely going to be using a new web site. Geocities isn't all that bad, but with modern technology, I'll give ya's more cool stuff to look at. I'm even planning on adding a blog page for all of you to write in and babble on.
