Aimed at studying the process and analyzing the relationship between
Bending angle & Energy per Pulse, Pulse-On time, Number of pulses, Spot size
of the Laser beam.
Designed and Fabricated a computer controlled experimental set-up in order
to study the bending of thintubes(thicknesses-0.132mm,0.143mm
and 0.16mm)
Solved the Navier's Equations of Thermoelasticity in a cylindrical
coordinate system in order to formulate the 3D transient Thermal stresses
using the Thermal Stress Function technique.

Proposed and developed a new method to calculate Volumetric deviation
using a novel reconstruction of the 3D Part Model to be built using
Rapid Prototyping Technology.
Developed an efficient algorithm for finding the points on the upper and
lower slices lying on a 3D CAD model surface.

Aimed at analyzing the relationship between the angular distortion & Leg
length, electrode diameter, preheating, stress relieving, backstep welding.
Developed a new technique to measure the magnitude of the angular
distortion.
A technical paper was presented at the National Welding Conference(organised by Indian Institute Of Welding),2002,Kolkata.
