Sheree was born in Rochester, Minnesota, where she was raised on a farm until her family moved to Boulder, Colorado, when she was eight. She attended the University of Northern Colorado at Boulder, and began her career as a model, first in Denver, then New York. Wilson promptly moved to Manhattan and within eighteen months, had appeared over thirty commercial campaigns for Clairol, Sea Breeze, Keri-Lotion and Maybelline. Her print work ran in such popular magazines such as Mademoiselle, Glamour and Redbook. She won the starring role, opposite Louise Lasser, Brain James and Reed Burney, in CRIMEWAVE, a 1984 black comedy by Sam Raimi, in Los Angeles. Three days after that film wrapped, she was cast in "Velvet" an ABC/Aaron Spelling MOW/series pilot, in which she played female "James Bond" character opposite Shari Belafonte. |
