            Lance knows very well that he is crazy.

            He rather doesn’t care what people say any more. When they threatened to take Red away from him, he took steps.

            Now, they sit in their castle of black crystal. It’s very lovely, he worked all night on it, with the help of the legendary pokémon, and as the police try to batter down the walls, his beautiful dragons blast them to pieces.

            They thought he was hurting his precious child!

            He would never hurt Red. Never. He would destroy the world to protect his precious, precious child, and he knows it. Red loves him, and belongs to him, in all ways, blood and flesh and bone, and he’ll be damned if they take him away because of something like propriety!

            Red knows this, and he watches, as the dragons tear them to pieces, and then Father returns inside, and he doesn’t even care as the gates clang shut behind him and the force fields go up.

            He is safe now, isn’t he?

            Yes. Of course he is!

           

            Lance holds Red close, as they watch the futile efforts outside, and wonders which one of them is truly mad?

            Red giggles, and his eyes sparkle ruby insanity.
