| How do you feel about the death penalty? |
| I am in favor of the death penalty because criminals do not know the meaning of respect towards the law and others. Criminals should pay for what they have done wrong. I think that a person that is capable of killing another person is out of control and has to have lost its mind, because it doesn't think about its family or the family of the person that is being hurt. If the death penalty did not exist, I think that there would be a greater number of killings. There is no reason for a person to kill another person when we have laws that could take care of the problem. The death penalty has always existed and will always exist. |

| Right now, there are more than 3500 inmates who are on the death row in America. Almost all the inmates are poor and are people of color. The most disturbing thing is that for every eight people executed, one of them is completely innocent. But they do not discover this until the person has been condemned to die and then executed. In my opinion, the death penalty is the most cruel inhuman punishment. It violates the right that every person has to life. It is irreversible and, once again, can be brought upon the innocent. The death penaly has never been proven to lessen crime in any way, shape, or form. It should be abolished forever. |
