Eye Of The Beholder Film Lyrics

To my knowledge, there are two songs in Eye Of The Beholder, both of which are listed below, along with what little information I know about the obscure songs... Know a song in the movie that's not here? E-mail me!

1. Home Of The Whale
2. I Wish You Love
3. Soundtrack Info...

Home Of The Whale

Oh my love he works upon the sea
On the waves that blow wild and free
He splices the ropes and he sets the sail
While southwards he roams to the home of the whale

And he ne'er thinks of me far behind
Or the torments that rage in my mind
He is mine for only part of the year
Then I'm left all alone with only my tears

All ye ladies that smell of white rose
Thank ye for your perfume to wear on my gold
Thank ye all the wives and the babies that yearn
For the man ne'er returns from hunting the sperm

Oh my love he works upon the sea
On the waves that blow wild and free
He splices the ropes and he sets the sail
While southwards he roams to the home of the whale

I Wish You Love

Goodbye
No use leading with our chins
This is where the story ends
Never lovers, ever friends

Goodbye
Let our hearts call it a day
But before you walk away
I sincerely want to say

I wish you bluebirds in the spring
To give your heart a song to sing
And then a kiss
But more than this
I wish you love
And in July a lemonade
To cool you in some leafy glade
I wish you health
But more than wealth
I wish you love

My broken heart and I agree
That you and I could never be
So with my best
My very best
I set you free

I wish you shelter from the storm
A cozy fire to keep you warm
But most of all
When snowflakes fall
I wish you love

Soundtrack Info...

Home Of The Whale is sung by Caroline Lavelle, a Celtic singer, and written by Owen Hand. The song was performed with Massive Attack, and it can be found on one of Massive Attack's remix albums. (Thanks Alviol35 for the info!) I Wish You Love was written by Charles Trenet in 1946, and sung by Chrissie Hynde.

The rest of the soundtrack was written by Marius De Vries, the musical director for Moulin Rouge... Unfortunately there is no Eye Of The Beholder soundtrack out... I don't know why, since the music is so good! Anyway, that's all the info I know about Eye Of The Beholder music. Thanks.
