Doodle was the best 'pet' show dog anybody could have....Sold as a pet because of unfinished trim on her nose and given to me as a surprise birthday present; Doodle didn't start her show career until she was almost 3;  her first show was the DCD specialty in Detroit in June- where she won the open liver class. By Labor Day she had 3 majors and 12 points in very limited showing, with a (very) novice handler and still with unfinished nose trim!

Doodle loved to show. She did not however, love obedience competition. Her antics more than once moved the usually quiet crowd to laughter. ('strolling' recalls, the "I'll be right over here, its cooler laying down anyway" finish at the DCD specialty and the " yeah,yeah I'm coming" heeling off leash pattern)
