HT3 Compressor Housing

11/6/01

I acquired this turbocharger a couple of weeks ago. I started disassembly today. This is a huge turbo!!! It has a 4.5" compressor inlet and a 5" compressor discharge. The turbine inlet is 6" in diameter and the outlet is 6". It had gotten wet and was a real bear to get apart. It required extensive soaking with penetrating oil. It had to soak for about 4 days for the oil to start working. This turbo has many features found in real turbines. I will show these feature in the future as it progresses.

In my spare time I have been working on HT3. I have completely disassembled this unit, cleaned, inspected and painted it. Now it looks brand new. Aside from being in the weather for awhile, all the internal parts looked new. This unit is a monster to move.
