The Journey Lies Within Us

Bright, shining eyes, a toothless smile, arms stretched out; longing to feel, touch, experience.

Butterfly kisses, dinosaurs in the clouds, the magic of rainbows.  A million questions asking "why"

Why do we love? Why do we feel? Why do we hurt? Why do we search?

The journey lies within us

Its amazing where faith is found, but mostly it is found within us.  We look deep within ourselves to find the true answers.

Terrifying is the journey deep within our souls; we find things we do not wish to see or want others to see.

But, there is where the answers are.  Deep within ourselves.  So there must the journey begin.  All the answers lead back to us.

As we search we remember the things that brought us here, and as we remember, it brings us back to who we are.

The journey lies within us and that is where the answers are to be found.

Have faith on your journey, faith in yourself, it will always bring you back.

Poetry Home

I personally want to take a small note to thank the rock group Creed.  I want to thank them for waking me up and reaching deep into my own soul and giving me hope.  Their lyrics and powerful songs helped pull me through some very dark times, and I owe my sanity to them.  Check them out if you get a chance, I have never had a group reach my soul as much as they have.  ~smiles~
