Hunter x Hunter, a series depicting a world very much like ours. In this realm,
being a Hunter is the most exciting job there is. Hunters are people who seek
what is rare, whether it be treasure, food or artifacts. That's what written in
their brochure. In reality, Hunters protect the balance between man and nature
by discovering items and finding out how to protect them. Everyone dreams of
becoming a Hunter. Each aspirant, however must pass the Hunter Test where only
one out of 10,000 or 100,000 pass. To top it off, the association of Hunters
will not be responsible for any accidents or deaths that may occur during the
test.

getting to know hunter x hunter
hunter x hunter it begins as a weekly manga serialized in weekly jump. and later on becomes an anime.
it is created by the artist named yoshihiro togashi who also created yuyu hakusho and i do not afraid of wolf's
the number of manga volumes of hunter x hunter is 14 and the anime series in tv is 62 including an o.a.v with 8 episodes
it's first broadcast station is the fuji tv network and it start to be on air at the half of october 1999 to march 2001 and the second o.a.v will be released at february 2003 in the philipines this show starts after it finished in japan currently it start's here at december 2001 i think and the o.va. become's on air at the television on april 2002. (i think? )

Treasure-seeking Hunter- They scour the world in search of rare and valuable booty, especially suited for those with a sense of adventure and a liking towards the unknown.

Appearance
A Hunter licence is in the form of a normal card, except that
it is slightly thicker and has computer chips inbuilt. The front side shows the
Hunter rank you are currently in, whereas the back has a magnetic strip with a
unique serial number that identifies each individual with the licence. It works
similar to a credit card, with card machines that can swipe and read the licence,
except that it has many more features and benefits associated with it.

fame and recognition a licence holder can enjoy, being one of the few in the
world who owns a licence.
