Chapter 1- hello again

 

Two years after the four characters have left. Ding and the others have adjusted back to their normal lives. It was Friday morning at that time when they opened a topic about it again. �I still remembered on how they get along with us.� Nuri stated.

�Did you remember that time when we were at the beach? They were so naughty and very active.� Chiri said.

�I already miss them.� Ding sighed.

�Love is in the air�� Mikage teased.

�Stop it!� Ding said.

�It�s a good thing that Kuri doesn�t love Killua anymore.� Haruko pointed out.

�Really??? You mean she likes another man?� Yuki asked.

�Don�t be surprised. She always does that.� Ai said.

�What do you mean by always???� Kuri said with nerves popping out of her head.

�Nothing.�

�Have you studied for our test in Science today?� Yama asked.

�ARGH! Why do you have to remind me about it?� Mitsui said rubbing her head furiously.

�Just nothing, I just want to check. Because I have studied!�

�Ne, I haven�t studied.� Ding said.

�It�s because that you are smart!� Yuki exclaimed.

�It�s not! Haruko is smarter!� Ding said pointing to Haruko.

�I�m not!�

�Yes you are!� Ding smiled.

�Let�s just say that you two are good.� Nuri said.

�We�re not!� They exclaimed in unison.

 

After classes they went under the tree where the four characters had left. Haruko and Ding had their books with them.

�Don�t you just leave your book for one minute?� Chiri asked.

�What? But you�re the ones who told us to teach you right?� Ding asked.

�Did I say that?�

�Yeah.� Haruko agreed.

�Gomen, I forgot.�

�It�s ok.� Ding said.

�I remembered the day when they left, Ding just couldn�t help crying.� Yuki reminisced.

�So did Mikage, Chiri and Yama.� Nuri added.

�Of course we�ll cry! We�ll miss them!!!� Yama answered.

�And I fear that Kururo will do something bad to Kurapika.� Mikage said holding her notebook tighter and closer to her chest.

 

Ding touched the trunk of the tree and traced the lines engraved on it. She looked at the falling leaves and started to reminisced about the time when Killua left. Ai waved her hand in front of Ding. �Earth to Ding, Earth to Ding.� Ai called. She snapped her hand.

Ding snapped back to reality. �Nani?� Ding asked,

�There, you�re back to your old self again.�

�Now let�s start the lessons.� Kuri said.

�Matte!� Mitsui interrupted.

�What is it?� Haruko asked.

�W-What�s t-t-that?� Mitsui stammered as she pointed to a bluish white light.

�What�s tha- WAH!� Nuri shouted as she was being pulled inside the whirlpool of bluish white light.

�I got you Nuri!� Chiri said as she got hold of Nuri�s foot.

 

One by one they were being pulled in. Everybody held tight at the tree�s bark. It was no use. They all got pulled in and they were swirling inside then the whirlpool closed.

 

�WAH!!! I don�t want to die! I�m too young to die!� Ai said in panic.

�I want my mommy!� Yuki squealed.

�Stop squealing Yuki! My ear hurts.� Nuri complained.

�I think I�m going to be sick.� Chiri said holding her stomach.

�Where are we going?� Mikage asked.

�I don�t know and I don�t have any slightest idea about it.� Haruko answered.

�Our Father who Art in heaven�� Kuri prayed.

�What if we meet bandits and strangers or even assassinators?� Mitsui asked getting scared. Kuri heard Mitsui and she prayed faster.

�Let�s just hope that the worst won�t come.� Ding encouraged.

�I�ll join you in praying.� Yama said to Kuri.

 

After a while they realized that they stopped swirling. They weren�t swirling anymore but they were falling. All of them screamed.

�HELP!!!� They all shouted.

 

The fall wasn�t that long. Luckily they landed on water and not the ground.

 

SPLASH!!!

CRASH!!!

 

Yuki, Mitsui and Yama weren�t so lucky. �Ouch! Get off me will you? You two are heavy.� Yuki said.

 

Ding and the others stood up dripping wet. �Just great, we�re soaking wet.� Kuri said sarcastically.

�But look on the bright side, we got free shower.� Nuri joked.

�This is no time for joking.� Ding reminded.

�Where are we anyway?� Mikage asked looking around.

�It looks like we�re in a forest.� Ding answered as she examined the place.

�Yeah, and by the looks of it, we�re going to have some company.� Chiri said as she pointed to a bush.

 

There were some ruffling noises by the bush. Just then a spiked hair boy emerged from the bushes.

 

�He looks familiar.� Ding said.

�Who�s there?� the boy asked.

�Gon?� Yama asked as she recognized the figure.

�Yama?� the boy asked. �Yama!� Gon smiled.

�That�s why he looked familiar.�

�It�s nice to see all of you again.� Gon said.

�Same here.� They all said.

�Gon, who�s there?� somebody asked. He came out of the bushes and went beside Gon. He had silver-gray hair and was as the same age as Gon.

�It�s our friends Killua.�

�Who?� Killua asked. He looked at Yuki. �Eh? Who are you? Erm� I mean� WHAT are you?� Killua joked. He made a peace sign at Yuki.

�I hate you Killua.� Yuki said.

�I thank you for that.� Killua said sticking his tongue out. He looked at each one of them as if he was searching for something. His gaze landed on Ding. Ding was smiling at him. He blushed a little and stared at the floor. �N-nice seeing you again.�

�Nice seeing you again too.� Ding replied.

�Where�s Kurapika?� Mikage asked.

�Yeah.� Chiri joined.

�Oh, he�s at the Nostrad mansion.� Gon answered.

�Where are we anyway?� Kuri asked.

�You�re at Koujirou Island.�

�Oh, so we�re on Koujirou Island� WE ARE WHERE????� Nuri exclaimed.

�You�re in Koujirou Island.� Gon repeated.

�Am I dreaming?� Ai asked.

�Is it just me or did we just arrive in their world?� Mitsui asked. Ding pinched Mitsui by the cheeks. �Ouch!�

�See, you�re not dreaming.� Ding said. Then she remembered something. �WAH!!�

�Ding, are you ok?� Killua asked.

�What about school? Mom�s going to kill me for missing school.�

�It�s ok. Don�t worry; you could have a little vacation.� Killua said.

�Yeah Ding. You better quit studying for a while.� Yama agreed.

�I guess you�re right.�

�You too Haruko.� Mikage said as she saw the terrified look that was across Haruko�s face.

�You�re right�� Haruko agreed.

�I guess we�d better go home now. Mito-san is going to be worried.� Gon said.

�Where are they going to stay?� Killua asked Gon as he pointed at the girls.

�At our house.�

�BAKA!� Killua bonked Gon on the head. �All of us won�t fit inside the house!�

�Don�t worry about us, we could stay here in the woods if you�d like.� Yuki said.

�Don�t you know that there are a lot of ferocious animals here?� Nuri asked.

 

Yuki looked around. She saw pairs of glowing yellow eyes staring at her. �I-I guess you�re right Nuri�� she said trembling.

�What do you mean guess, I AM always right.� Nuri said.

�Ne, there�s still another room at home.. Maybe the others could stay outside just like camping.� Gon suggested.

�Let�s just see about that later.� Ding said.

�Let�s just go now, it�s getting dark.� Yama said.

 

Hunter�s World

Chapter 2- Trapped

 

It was already quite that night when Gon and Killua together with their friends went back home. Everything was so quiet until�

�NANI!?!?!??!� Mito�s voice was heard throughout the village.

�But they�re our friends Mito-san.� Gon said.

�Gon, you two just went to the woods and here you brought back 10 girls. Who wouldn�t be surprised?� Mito said.

�Mito-san, they are the ones whom we are talking about.�

�Last time we went to their world accidentally then now they came here accidentally.� Killua explained.

�They were so kind to us Aunt Mito.� Gon said

�oh alright, they could stay but they are your responsibility.� Mito said.

�Arigatou Mito-san!!!� Gon smiled.

�Only five people could occupy the other room and there should be two more in yours. The other three could stay outside. I�ll put up the tent.� Mito explained as she went upstairs to get a tent.

 

Gon and Killua explained everything to Ding and the others. They were so happy that they get to have a house to spend the night. �But we have to leave the day after tomorrow; we�re going to find my father.� Gon said.

�Then we could buy clothes.� Yama said.

�Problem is, we don�t have money.� Mitsui said.

�We can�t use our money here.� Ai said as she rubbed her chin.

�They�re hunters right? So that means we could borrow some money from them.� Mikage pointed.

�But you will pay for that�� Killua said.

�They do need clothes Killua.� Gon said.

�Oh alright.� Killua gave in when all the girls pleaded with puppy like eyes at him.

�YEHEY!!! HURRAY!� the girls shouted.

 

They have decided that Ding and Yama will stay at Gon and Killua�s room. Haruko, Mikage, Kuri, Mitsui and Ai are going to sleep in the vacant room and Yuki, Nuri and Chiri are going to sleep outside.

�Why us???� Yuki complained.

�Well, it�s nice outside anyway.� Chiri said getting her sleeping bag.

�And so that nobody can hear you cry in pain! HAHAHA!� Nuri laughed evily.

�Save me from their tortures!� Yuki kneeled down in front of Haruko.

�I can�t.�

�Why?�

�Look at her face�� Haruko pointed at Nuri.

Nuri was laughing very hard that she looks like a mad scientist that Haruko was scared to talk to her. Then there was a struck of lighting as a background.

�I see what you mean�� Yuki said.

�HAHAHAHA!!!� Nuri kept on laughing.

�Stop that Nuri!� Ding said as she bonked Nuri on the head.

�Ouch!�

�That�s better� Quiet.� Ai said

�Now, now, all of you must go to sleep now.� Mito said.

�Hai!� They all chorused.

 

Everybody went to bed not wanting to make Mito angry at them. They woke up early the next day because they planned to stay and camp in the woods the whole day.

�What if we�ll see bears� or foxes� or even wild beasts!� Yuki said with a scared tone.

�Will you just shut up. We won�t find any of those.� Nuri assured.

�If we�ll find any and I�ll be scared to death� I�ll haunt you for this Nuri!�

�If we do get in danger, Gon and Killua are here anyway.� Yama but in.

�You do have a point.� Chiri said.

�We better hurry, I don�t want to be left behind.� Yuki said running to the front.

 

Haruko, Kuri, Mitsui, Ai, Mikage, Ding and Killua were already far ahead of them. Gon was leading the way, making sure that everything is safe.

 

It was hunting season already and hunting is not allowed in the woods where they are in. What they didn�t know is that illegal hunters are already preparing to trap animals. They were setting bear traps and tracking down the bears.

 

�Over here!� Ding called out.

 

It was about 3 o�clock in the afternoon, they were by the lake, where Ding and the others fell and met Gon and Killua. They were resting by the lake and their concept of rest is not actually what we call peace and quiet�

 

SPLASH!!!

 

�Why you!!! Nuri!!!!� Yuki exclaimed as she was pushed to the water by Nuri.

�I�m doing nothing.� Nuri said as a halo appeared on Nuri�s head.

�Where could Kurapika be now?� Chiri asked.

�I hope he�s alright..� Mikage prayed.

�I�ll just sit here and� oof.� Haruko got a fruit fallen on her head. �That hurts��

�Hey! Free food!!!� Ai exclaimed as she got the mango on Haruko�s head.

�ne.. I want one.� Kuri said.

�You could get some up there.� Mitsui pointed upwards.

 

Kuri followed Mitsui�s hand. �I don�t know� It�s very high��

�You can do it�� Ai said as she tapped Kuri on the shoulder.

�I can do it but I�ll eat the fruit.� Mikage said smiling slyly.

�I�ll do it�� Kuri climbed the tree and on each step she got she was afraid that she might fall.

 

Ding sat down under a giant tree and watched her friends. She smiled then she heard a sound as if something big fell into the ground. She looked at Kuri whose head is facing the flat ground. Ding giggles a little as she heard the others laugh.

 

�What are you all laughing at?!?� Kuri exclaimed. �At least I got a fruit.� She smiled.

�I want to get some too.� Mikage said as she started to climb the tree.

�Hope you�ll fall too.� Kuri said. �please make her fall� make her fall�� Kuri whispered repeatedly.

�Are you saying something Kuri?� Haruko asked.

�Um� Nothing��

 

Ding then looked at Nuri, Chiri and Yuki. Nuri was being chased by Yuki. �COME BACK HERE!!!!� she heard Yuki screamed angrily.

�Not in a million years will you catch me.� Nuri said teasingly which made Yuki angrier.

�I need some peace and quiet please Yuki!� Chiri complained.

�NURI!!!� Yuki still screamed. Chiri got irritated and started to lift a huge rock.

�Mommy�� Yuki said in a squeaky voice and started to run for her life.

�Go Chiri!� Nuri cheered and she made some stunts complete with pompoms made from leaves.

 

Ding was already laughing at them. Just then somebody�s hand covered her eyes. �uh� who are you?... I can�t see�� she mumbled as she struggled to get the hands off her eyes.

�Guess who.�

�Killua�� she said. Then the hand uncovered her eyes.

�Ne Ding, have you seen Gon?� Killua asked.

�Nope. Maybe Gon�s with Yama. I haven�t seen Yama since we finished building up our tents.� Ding said as she rested her head on the bark of the tree.

�I guess you�re right. Umm� Ding��

�Nani?� Ding asked as she faced Killua.

�Umm� um� I� uh� oh never mind.� Killua stammered.

�Don�t be afraid to tell me.�

�Well� umm�� Killua was starting to blush.

�well�?�

�Never mind about it anymore.� Killua said.

�Oh� I won�t force you if you don�t like.� Ding smiled sweetly.

 

It was already dark by then. They circled around a campfire and put some wood when the fire was getting smaller.

�So that�s where you have gone too.� Killua said to Gon as he took a bite from a sandwich Mito gave them.

�Yeah, Yama helped me in getting firewood.� He said.

�I see.�

 

Yuki has a big lump on the head. �Chiri� that really hurts�� she sniffed.

�That�s just right for you.� She said.

�Yeah� Be careful Yuki� WE are going to sleep together.� Nuri smirked.

�The torture�� Yuki whispered.

�Did I hear you complain?� Nuri�s ears perked up.

�uh� no��

 

�Haruko, you�re very quiet.� Mikage said.

�I think she misses somebody�� Kuri nudged Haruko.

�I do not. I�m just worried about my studies.�

�Please don�t remind me about school. It�s our free time off.� Ai said.

�Yeah, we do need a break.� Mitsui said.

�I can�t put my heart at rest.� Haruko said worriedly.

�You can�� Mikage said. �Look at Kuri, she did climb the tree.�

�Don�t remind me about that.� Kuri murmured turning a bit red.

 

�Ding!� Nuri called out.

�Don�t shout� I�m just right beside you.�

�Gomen. So what are you going to do now?� Nuri asked.

�Well� we should all go to sleep.� Ding suggested.

�It�s already very dark.� Chiri said and agreed with Ding�s suggestion.

 

They put out the fire and went to their tents to sleep. There were 4 tents all in all; 3 in each. Just then, somebody crept out of the tent, it was Ding. �I can�t sleep. I�ll wonder around the woods for now.� Ding whispered.

 

She crept as silently as she could, not wanting to wake the others from their sleep.

 

The air was cold and all that she could hear are the crickets and the croaks from the frogs. It was very dark, she could hardly see anything. Suddenly she stepped on something. It was a bear trap.

 

Ding felt pain and blood was rushing out from her legs. �AH!� she screamed in pain. �Help! Somebody help me!� She screamed as she tried to free herself.

 

Nobody came. She sat down on the ground. �Argh� Why did I left the camp..� Ding whispered. A while later, there were some movements from the bushes. �Who�s there?� Ding called as she got hold of her wounded foot.

 

A man maybe at his thirties came out of the bushes holding a rifle. �Aw shoot. It isn�t a bear, it�s a girl!� the man growled as he saw Ding in her position.

�Hey, hunting isn�t allowed here!� Ding shouted.

�Yeah, I know� But who cares.�

�I�ll tell it to the authorities.�

�Who told you that you would after this? Would I still let you live?� the man said as he pointed his gun at Ding.

 

Ding closed her eyes. �I still want to live�� she thought.

 

Just then a figure jumped out of one of the trees and hit the gun with his hands. The rifle flew through the air and out of sight. �Don�t mess with a girl.� He said.

 

�That voice�� Ding thought. She slowly opened her eyes and in front of her was Killua. �Wah!� she screamed.

�Don�t be scared, it�s just me.� Killua smiled.

�You scared me half to death!� Ding said as she got hold of her chest.

�I�m sorry.� Killua apologized.

�Where�s that man?� Ding asked as she looked around.

�What man? Oh� him� There�� Killua pointed to a lifeless body on the ground.

�Oh� I see�� Ding said a bit scared. �What are you doing here anyway?�

�I saw you out of bed then I searched for you.� Killua explained. �Now what are YOU doing here out in the cold night?�

�I couldn�t sleep so I decided to look around.�

�Now let�s go back to camp shall we?� Killua said as he held out his hand for Ding to hold on.

�I can�t.� Ding said looking at her foot.

�Why?� Killua followed Ding�s gaze. �What happened here?� He asked.

�I fell into a trap. My foot hurts too.� Ding whispered. �It was so dark that�s why I didn�t see the trap.�

 

As Ding finished explaining, Killua tore his long sleeves on both of his arm. First he used his sharp nails to destroy the trap. After doing so he wrapped Ding�s wound with his torn sleeves. �That should do it.� Killua smiled at Ding.

�Thank you Killua.� Ding smiled and a slight blush appeared.

�It�s nothing.� Killua then carried Ding.

�W-what are you doing?�

�Taking you back at camp, I know you still can�t walk.�

Ding smiled. �Thank you very much Killua.�

Chapter 3- Trouble

 

The next morning, everybody was wondering about what happened to Ding�s foot. �For the tenth time already, I got trapped in this bear trap last night.� Ding said rather irritated for repeating the story over and over again.

�We need to go right now. We have a long way to walk.� Gon said packing his things.

�Walk?!?� Yuki asked a bit scared

�There are no buses here so we need to walk our way.� Ding explained.

 

They reached the port almost by night. �That was very tiring�� Yuki said.

�Stop whining there, the ship�s going to leave soon.� Haruko called.

�Oh� ok��

 

They boarded the ship and after sometime they were already drifting along the sea. Late at night they were along the balcony. Ding approached Killua who was at the railing.

 

�Ne Killua, where are we going anyway?� Ding asked.

�We�re going to find Gon�s father�� Killua answered.

�Jin Freecs.� Ding said.

�How�d you know?�

�Well, I had told you before that you are characters created by Yoshihiro Togashi.� Ding explained.

�Oh yeah� I forgot about that, By the way, how�s your foot?� Killua said.

�It�s getting better. Arigatou.� Ding smiled sweetly.

�It�s nothing.� Killua said slightly blushing.

�I guess you need to rest now.�

�I can still handle the sleepiness.� He said.

 

The others were playing chess on a large checkered board at the floor. �Go Haruko!� Ai and Mikage cheered.

�Go Ruki!� Chiri and Mitsui cheered.

 

Haruko and Ruki were the ones playing. They were taking turns and Ruki almost won when Yuki crashed into the game.

�WHAT DID YOU JUST DO?!?! I WAS WINNING!!!� Ruki yelled.

�Sorry, I was running away from� WAH!! NURI!!!� Yuki quickly stood up and ran.

�Come back here Yuki!� Nuri shouted. �You need to pay for that!�

�Pay for what?� Mikage asked.

�Pay for the CD she broke. And it�s my favorite too! COME BACK!!!� Nuri�s voice faded as she got farther from their view.

�There goes your normal everyday scene.� Chiri sighed as the others giggled.

�Let�s start again.� Haruko suggested.

�Hey, it�s our turn!� Ai said.

�Let�s play challenge the winner! Who ever wins will have to battle the others until she loses.� Mitsui suggested.

�I�ll be the first challenger!� Mikage volunteered.

�I�ll be champion since I was almost winning.�

�Ok Ruki. Now I�ll judge!� Chiri said.

 

Ding heard Yuki screaming with Nuri running behind her. �Well, I think they�re enjoying.� Ding joked.

�I guess so.� Killua answered smiling.

�Where are Gon and Yama anyway?�

�I guess they�re touring the ship.�

�Oh, I thought he was going with you?�

�You�ll never know.� Killua said looking up at the stars.

 

�Thanks for staying with me Gon.� Yama said as she placed down the book she was reading.

�That�s nothing.� Gon said looking at Yama still holding his rod.

�What are you fishing anyway?�

�Just nothing.� 

�Are you sure???� Yama asked as she looked at him suspiciously.

�I�m sure!� Gon smiled.

�It�s getting late. We better sleep now.� Yama yawned.

�Oh, ok� Oyasumi!� Gon greeted as Yama tucked herself into her bed.

 

�Hey, it�s getting late.� Ding told the others.

�What do you mean late? It�s still early!� Kuri complained.

�Yeah, it�s still early.� Everybody agreed.

�If you say so, I�m going to bed. See you tomorrow then,� Ding bid and she went inside her cabin.

�Just go ahead. Don�t keep the door locked!� Killua shouted.

 

Ding just raised her hand as a sign of saying yes. �That�s a good sign.� Killua smiled. Behind him, Nuri has a smirk on her face.

�What�s with the smirk Nuri?� Mikage asked.

�Oh� just nothing.�

 

The next morning, Ding, Yama and Gon were already awake but the others were still sleeping. �I told them it was late�� Ding thought.

�Hey Killua! Wake up!� Ding said shaking him.

 

Killua never moved an inch or wake up.

�We�re already here!� Ding said a bit irritated. She pushed Killua off the bed.

�Why did you that?!� Killua exclaimed waking up.

�We�re already near the port.�

�I still want to sleep.� Killua murmured creeping back onto the bed.

 

Ding shrugged. �I�ll just leave you alone then.� Ding went out of the room and closed the door.

 

It was about 5 in the morning. There was a thin fog and there was a cool breeze outside. Ding put her hands inside her pocket. �It sure is cold�� she murmured.

 

�We�re almost there right?� Yama asked Gon. She stood by the railing of the boat.

�Hai. About another 30 minutes or so, we�ll arrive there already.�

�That�s good.� Yama smiled. Yama noticed that her hand was slipping. �eh? WAH!� Yama slipped.

�Yama!� Gon shouted grabbing hold of Yama�s foot. �There, I got hold of you.� He said pulling Yama back up. �Daijobou?�

�I�m fine.� Yama said shivering a bit.

 

Gon wrapped his arms around Yama�s body. �You�re safe now.� Yama blushed.

 

They were so close to each other that time. They were like lovers, couples even. Just then footsteps were heard. �Why do you have to wake us up?� a voice said.

�It�s already morning and we are going to arrive any minute now.� Another voice answered.

 

Three shadows emerged from the doorway. �You know Mikage, we do need to pack in any way.� Haruko said.

�Yeah.� Kuri said rubbing her eyes.

�Hey look. Isn�t that Yama and Gon?� Mikage smirked.

�It is? It is!� Ruki said as she got a clearer view of the scene.

 

Yama and Gon heard Ruki. They blushed. Gon unwrapped his arms and was thinking of a good excuse. Ruki, Haruko and Mikage started giggling. �You two are SOO SWEET!!!!!!!!!� they said in chorus. The two blushed more.

 

�Stop it!� Yama said.

�I need to umm� pack my things� later then.� Gon excused himself.

 

Chiri knocked on Nuri and Yuki�s room. �Open up!� Chiri shouted. There was no answer. �GRR�.� She got a key from her pocket. �They did GAVE me this duplicate�� She inserted the key and turned it. The door opened. She saw Nuri and Yuki still sleeping. Chiri took out a whistle, she blew the whistle. �Wake up men!�

 

Nuri and Yuki stood up straight. �Yes sir!� they said.

�We�re almost there.� Chiri reminded. �Pack up your things ok?�

�Hai!!!�

 

They arrived at the port about 5:30 in the morning. �I�m still sleepy�� Ai said lazily, her eyes closing now and then.

�I told you it was getting late.� Ding said.

 

They were walking at the dimly lit alley. �Where� are we?� Mitsui asked.

�It�s still very early.�

�The sun is still isn�t shining too.� Killua said.

�Of course� it�s still not its risi- oof� Ding bumped into somebody and ell onto the ground. �Sorry.� She said rubbing her head looking to the person she bumped into. Her jaw dropped.

 

�Ding, are you ok?� Killua asked her accompanying her to stand up. He looked at the person in front of Ding. �YOU?!?!� Killua said in rage.

�Long time no see.� A man with red orange hair greeted. He has a tear drop drawn in one of his cheeks and a star on the other.

�That�s� that�s� Hisoka� right?� Ding said.

�How�d you know?� Hisoka asked.

 

�Are you two ok there?� Nuri asked.

�We�re fine�� Ding answered back. �We better go.� She whispered at Killua�s ear.

�Going already?� Hisoka asked putting on his maniac grin.

Ding ran back with Killua following behind her. �What happened to you? You look like you�ve seen a ghost.� Ai said as she saw them running as fast as they can.

�It�s more than a ghost.� Ding said.

�We better be careful.� Killua told them.

Chapter 4- Reunited with Kurapika and Leorio

 

�I�m hungry!!!� Kuri complained.

�Me too!!!� Nuri joined.

�Stop whining.� Ding covered her ears.

 

They were still walking on the streets. The sun was rising and the whole town was already waking up. Stores are already opening. �Now we should eat our breakfast already.� Haruko said.

 

Mitsui looked around, �We could go and eat there.�

 

She pointed to a coffee shop with the store manager just turning the sign from closed to open. �We could, anybody agrees?� Gon asked.

�Who�s going to pay?�

Ai looked at Killua and Gon, �Who else would pay? We don�t have money. They WOULD pay.�

Killua whispered to Gon, �They�re blackmailing us.�

�Did I hear some complaints?� Mikage asked closing into them.

�Uh� nothing.�

 

The bell above them rings as they enter the shop. �Hey Ding! The bell�s calling you.� Chiri joked.

�Haha� very funny.� Ding said sarcastically.

�You�re not mad are you? Please don�t be mad!!!�

�Who gave you the idea that I am mad at you?�

 

They settled down on the tables near the counter. They occupied about three tables. As the waiter gave them the menu, Killua quickly grabbed hold of one and scanned the menu.

�I�ll just have a glass of water and one sandwich please,� Ding ordered. �How about you guys?�

�I�ll have the same.�

�Same here.� Haruko said.

�Make that, ten glasses of water and ten sandwiches please.� Ding corrected their orders.

The waiter scribbled down notes on his pad and turned to Killua and Gon, �How about your orders sir?�

�I�ll have the same as the girls.� Gon answered.

�I�ll have this and this and this and this�� Killua pointed in the menu. Gon�s jaw dropped.

Gon nudged Killua, �Don�t you remember, we�re the only ones who�ll pay� Don�t waste money.� Gon whispered.

�Oh yeah� I forgot� I�ll just have 2 plates of bacon and egg and one hot chocolate.�

�Is that all sir?� the waiter asked politely.

�Ne, do you have any chocorobo-kuns by any chance?� Killua asked with a bit of mischievousness in his voice.

 

The waiter left without even answering Killua back. �Hmph� who needs his company anyway? He should be fired!� Killua complained.

�Killua�� Gon tried to comfort him but Killua kept on complaining.

�If only killing wasn�t prohibited,� Killua continued.

 

To pass time, Mikage opened up a topic. Looking at the others, �Ne, now that we are here, what do you expect to happen?�

�Come to think of it� none.� Haruko shrugged.

�Kururo!!!�

Nuri covered her ears, �Yuki, you don�t need to scream. We KNOW you are excited.� Yuki just ignored Nuri and continued mentioning Kururo�s name.

�Don�t ever say that name when we get to see Kurapika again.� Chiri warned Yuki waving a finger in front of Yuki�s face.

�I just want to umm� explore!� Yama smiled hiding her blush.

Kuri nudged Yama, �You�re in love ne?�

�Me? No! I�m not!� Yama said her face reddening.

�It�s not use denying!�

�I�m not! Really��

�Ok, quit it. I expect to see some action!� Ai said to stop the noise.

 

It was quite a racket they are making. Killua and Gon looked at them. Killua stood up and approached them to hear more of their conversations.

 

�How about you Ding? What are your expectations?� Haruko asked.

Ding shrugged, �I don�t have any expectations at all. Maybe just stay here and not to go back�� Then Ding continued in a whisper, �I just want to be near��  Ding stopped as she saw Killua. A slight blush appeared on her cheeks.

�What are you talking about?� he asked.

�Nothing.� Both girls smiled innocently.

�Come on tell me!�

 

Just then their orders came. �Your orders sir, ma�am,� the waiter placed down the plates on their table. The gang took their plates but still chatted.

After a few minutes, the door opened. �Good morning Dr. Leorio.� The manager greeted.

�Good morning, I�ll have the usual.� The tall man with small dark sunglasses settled near Killua and the others.

 

Mikage whispered to the others. �Did I hear it right? Doctor��

�Leorio?� Yama continued.

Killua spit out the chocolate he was drinking. �He�s here?�

�Where is he?� Gon asked excitedly. He stood up and glanced around the room. �Leorio? Leorio!� Gon shouted.

�Keep quiet Gon!�

 

The man with small dark sunglasses looked at them, �Gon? Gon! What a surprise seeing you here, and Lu-kia too.�

�Stop calling me that will you?� Killua said with nerves popping out of his head.

�You�re the one who started that. What brings you here?�

�We�re starting the search for my father again.�

�So that�s what you�re doing here.�

�Ahem� May I interrupt your conversation? Umm, Gon, Killua, your foods are getting cold and we�re waiting for the both of you.� Yama interrupted.

 

Leorio blinked his eyes. �Are my eyes deceiving me?�

�No they�re not. They�re here.� Killua cleared.

�So that means��

�Yes, yes� Yuki�s here�� Gon continued.

Everybody smirked at Yuki. Yuki, being innocent, �Why are you all looking at me?�

�Your prince charming is here.� Nuri nudged Yuki.

�Who? Kururo?�

Nuri bonked Yuki on the head. �Don�t you get it? I guess you don�t.� Yuki rubbed the lump on her head.

�No, what I mean is that, you are going to let them stay with you through the rest of your journey?� Leorio corrected.

�Yes,� the two chorused.

 

Leorio pulled Killua and Gon to one corner where the girls won�t hear them. Leorio lowered his voice, �Are you guys sure about their safety? What about nen and some things��

�We�ve already thought of that. Well, they would be safe.� Killua assured.

�What about against Hisoka, Illumi or the Genei Ryodan?�

�We have to take the risk.� Gon said.

Leorio took a glance at the table where the girls were laughing. �And besides,� Killua�s voice caught Leorio�s attention back, �What would they want with a bunch of kids anyway? They still don�t know nen.�

�You got a point but, Hisoka is after Gon right?�

�Me? Really?� Gon blinked.

Killua sighed, �You�re so naive Gon.�

�I�ll join you then. You can�t handle the responsibility of assuring their safety. You need me and I have more experiences since I�m older.� Leorio stood up leaving the two behind and went to the table.

 

�I�m going with all of you on your travel.� Leorio told the girls.

�WHAT?!?! I mean� that�s umm�. Nice of you��Mitsui said. �I guess�� she added in a whisper almost only she could hear.

�Of course I�m nice, now all of you go outside now while I�ll pay.�

 

The 12 teens went out of the store. Outside, they saw a car drop a blonde across the street. �Arigatou.� The blonde told the driver.

�Is that��

�Kurapika?�

 

The blonde turned around, �Did I hear my name just now?�

Chiri�s and Mikage�s eyes became heart-shaped, �Kurapika!!!� Both crossed the street and started hugging Kurapika.

�Woah� Slow down you two. How�d you get here?� he asked.

�We don�t know. Just days ago, we landed on Koujirou Island� Chiri started.

�HEY! THIS IS NO TIME FOR CHITCHATS!� Ding shouted across the street.

�We�re coming.� Mikage pulled Kurapika�s right arm while Chiri pulled the left.

 

�Hi Kurapika,� everybody greeted when they came closer.

�I guess all of you are here.� Kurapika told them.

�Leorio is still inside.� Gon pointed out.

�Everybody IS here.� Kurapika smiled. �Where are you going?�

�We�re going to find his father.� Kuri answered.

�Uh-huh.�

�What about your safety? Our world is different from yours.�

�You and Leorio said the same thing!� Killua complained.

Ai interrupted, �The same thing?�

Killua continued complaining, �We�ll take care of them, that was until Leorio volunteered himself to come with us since he is older than us,�

�He just wanted to help.� Gon smiled.

�yeah� like he always do.� Killua murmured.

 

Chiri tugged Kurapika�s sleeve. �Would you come with us too?� she pleaded with puppy eyes.

�Uh� that is if you like too��

�WE SURE DO! Right?� Chiri turned to the group flashing them glances saying �agree or else say your last prayer cause I�m going to kill you.�

�Uh� Yes, we do.� Everybody agreed.

�The more the merrier!� Gon cheered.

�At least you�re not as bad as Leorio.� Killua shrugged.

 

The door opened and Leorio overheard Killua, �What did you just say?�

�Nothing,�

�I heard what you said!�

�I said nothing. If we like to find Gon�s father, let�s go now.� Killua started walking.

�Killua! Wait for us!� Ding rushed up with him

�You two love birds are leaving us behind!!!� Mitsui shouted.

A slight blush appeared on both Ding and Killua�s cheeks. �What do you mean LOVE BIRDS?� Ding stopped on her tracks.

�Uh� I didn�t say anything.� Mitsui caught up with her.

The gang was trying not to laugh as they started walking with them.
