THE PICTS

Redskins of Scotland

Sometime around 1000 BC, a tribe know as the "Picts" settled in Scotland. The appearance of these Picts were very much like Native Americans. Probably because most Native Americans were descended from the Picts.

Tribes descended from the Picts:
Anafes (Brazil)
Androa (Oregon)
Aquios (Guatemala)
Aztecs
Hahos
Karpazos (Colorado)
Lecos (Brazil)
Patoes (Colombia)
Piros (Chihuahua)
Sioux
Siquias (Honduras)

Where did the Picts come from? They came from Thrace (Eastern Greece) where they were know as "Minoans." The customs of the Minoans and Indians were very similar. They wore feathers, and they were into tatooing... an art they adopted from the Scythians. The main streets of the Mayan cities were bordered by fountains just like the palace of Minos in Crete.

Similarities between names or Minoan colonies and Indian tribes:
Aguis - Aquios (Guatemala)
Anaphe - Anafes (Brazil)
Andros - Androa (Oregon)
Carpathos - Karpazos (Colorado)
Naxos - Hahos
Leros - Lecos (Brazil)
Patmos - Patoes (Colombia)
Piraeus - Piros (Chihuahua)
Sikionos - Siquias (Honduras)
Tinos - Aztecs (Tenochtitlan)
Xious - Sioux

The Minoans then migrated to the British Isles, where they were the Picts, named after their fascination with body art. Just like Native Americans, the Picts had totem poles, tatooes, and round boats made of animal hide. Most of them left Scotland and settled in Greenland for a time, and then to Central America where they established the Aztec Empire. From there, they migrated to different parts of the Americas.

The Picts who remained in Britain intermixed with the Scots. So why were the Picts Indian-looking? Well... their ancestors, the Minoans, were probably of Scythian descent. And also, the Minoans probably descended from the Cro-Magnon. They were also descended from the city of Tyre in Lebanon. That's where the name "Thrace" came from.
