"SHIPPING NEWS" LA PREMIERE

The premiere of "The Shipping News" was held last night, Sunday December 9th, 2001, in
Westwood, California complete with red carpet and lots of paparazzi. Many of the movie's stars were at the premiere including Jason Behr, Kevin Spacey, Scott Glenn ("The Right Stuff"), and Rhys Ifans ("Notting Hill").

The director, Lasse Hallstrom, and the producer, Irwin Winkler, were there, too. Also there were Katherine Heigel and her mother (I'm guessing that she was with her mother), John Stamos and his wife Rebecca
Romjin-Stamos, and Bruce Vilanch (Hollywood Squares). I didn't get to see all the celebs, so I'm sure there were many others in attendance that I missed.

When Jason Behr went arrived, he was greeted by screaming fans.

Before the movie started, Lasse Hallstrom introduced the stars and the producer.

Jason was great in the movie. For his role as the son of a fisherman (Scott Glenn), Jason used an Irish accent.
