The roof of a school building in Muang district of Chachaengosao Province collapsed during the morning of February 11, 2002, but nobody was hurt as most of the children had stayed home with their families to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

The ceiling of the third floor of a building of Wat Laem Tai School crumbled and fell about 7.30am. There were about 50 children in the school at the time but they were at a safe distance from the spot. The building was ordered closed for repairs.
