| Monsters? "There are stories, alright. Many of the small towners around here has a story or two about them. Though no-one has true evidence, they all say that they're real. "Who? you may ask. Sadly I don't know a real name for them. Many just call them 'slayers' or 'curl-a-snares'. "I haven't seen one, yet, but I've only been here a week. Never have I found the courage to venture out into the woods. They say that many who has dared to go have never returned in the right state of mind. "Some say that what they saw was just too terrible and their mind becomes lost in the terror. Others believe it is witchcraft of some sort. "I asked some why they didn't just leave. They all replied the same, 'Leaving is not an option.' "They told me that the creature was large. Some say about 6 ft, others say about 5. "There are two different versions of what they look like. "Some say it is hairy with yellow eyes and six inched long fangs. It has three fingers and a tail. Long lanky legs and a long mid-drift. When I try to ask about the behavior they reply that it doesn't matter. They say that by the time it spots you, you're dead. "Why haven't they killed it or at least try you might ask. Easy, they don't want to cause a riot. "Others say that it is petite. That it has long flowing hair and resembles a human. That is has wide innocent blue eyes and creamy smooth skin. The only difference is that it has wings, like an angel. "Common sense tells you that it can't fly, but try telling that to these people. The wings are behind it and it has a human figure, hands and all. "If they spot a person, they let off a powerful screeck and their beautiful blue eyes turn into a blazing red color. "Some wonder if they there are two creatures or if there is one. "People have chased the slayers away from the area when they have caught them feasting on sheep or even little children. "The curl-a-snares are the monsters people are more afraid of. I don't understand why, but I have a feeling I'll find out. "I have decided. I will go into the woods today. Why, you may ask, because I have to. It's calling to me. "I feel it watching, waiting. I see it in my dreams. Calling for me. I have to see it. I need to see it. "I'm going to the woods today. I'm going to the woods today," said the man in the institution, rocking back and forth. |

| Author's note: Hey! I just wanted to say that I was really bored when I wrote this. It is my first 1st-person point-of-veiw. This is also the first time I tried to write a story that deals with a monsters and stuff. I usually write romance stuff. Try to ignore all the mistakes I typed and stuff. I also wanted to say that I found this story amusing. I wrote most of it at home and then at school. Then at the end I didn't know how to end it, and then it came to me in Geometry class. Then I had to go back and place quotation marks everywhere. Please feel free to give advise or to just tell me what you think. |
