Roles and Functions

With these objectives in mind, the NPCC sets out to fulfil its many roles and functions by:-

• providing training to cadets to develop them mentally and physically;

• developing the cadets' sense of responsibility and qualities of leadership;

• inculcating the values of loyalty and responsibility and good citizenship in cadets;

• familiarising cadets with the role of the Singapore Police Force, its organisation and functions;

• seeking cadets' support in the Police's fight against crime;

• educating cadets to regard the Policeman as a friend,

• preparing the boys for National Service and cultivating in cadets, both boys and girls, a right attitude towards National Service.
