Chagrin formed in the fall of 2002, when all members (Brad Smeaton, Zach Taylor, Kelly Baker and Tyler Southard) met while attending Flower Mound High School. All too typical? Not so far, Chagrin's determination and highly intense songwriting style has set them aside form most if not all other bands. Combining various aspects of hardcore, grind, metal, and emo, Chagrin not only writes appealing emotional songs, but have begun to find their own voices within their music. Pounding double bass, start/stop flowing guitars, and lyranx shredding vocal melodies make Chagrin one of the most exiting and promising Dallas/Ft. Worth area bands to recently enter the scene. If you simply think that Chagrin is nothing special, attend one of their shows. If you don't leave loving them, You will definatly leave with a splitting headache and a mild case of nausea. |
