Assignment 5, Part 2

Discussion with my partner, Kyung-ha Lee.

First, Kyung-ha and I looked at the two sites that we liked, Martha Stewart and Meals.com
In our comparison we noticed these features of good web design in both sites.
  1. Informative. full of contents

    - We thought that the most important thing what the good sites should have is contents.
Both sites have huge information and each section are full of photos and kind explanation.
So, we can find anything we want. It is a strong point of those sites.

  2. Easy to navigate

    - Both sites classifyed into various sectionand each section has their own theme and detail sub-categories.
It make us find information quickly.

  3. A lot of colors and good combination

    - All pages are full of various colors and it is arranged well.
It make me feel better and keep navigating.

Second, We looked at the two bad sites we hate. billycorgan.com and recipesource.com

  1. Lack of information

    - billycorgan.com offers kinds of diary only. It is not easy to know what the purpose of this site.
recipesource.com do not inform any specific idea of cooking. It not helpful to get any good recipe.

  2. Complexity

    - billycorgan.com's main page just enumerate a lot of the dates of diary. They don't have any extra space between dates.
recipesource.com show a lot of links at the same time. They don't make sub-categories so it is really hard to navigate and it makes us confuse.

  3. Monotonous colors

    - billycorgan.com is only organized in light blue. Contents are written in white so it is really hard to read and it make us irritate.
recipesource.com use only orange and blue. It is too monotorous that we can feel tedious easily.
Finally, We discussed about good site and we conclude that good sites have good quality of their own. It offers trust to us.
Also, good sites have beautiful colors and we are attracted by it.
