(prologue) Well, here I am again. Or... "Here I am again on my own". I'm still single that is. I've been here for three years and I am still single! Anyway, here I am, attempting to write in my journal again. I can't believe I can't write for an entire year! I failed my new year's resolution. I was suppose to write for all of last year, but as you all know, I got a little derailed by Tom. Boy, that boy sure did put me through the wringer! I'm still recovering from him, he turned my life upside down. Oh well, if you want to know the whole story you should click here; otherwise I'm going to continue on.
Well... where do I start? It's been almost an entire year since I last wrote anything. It's hard to believe time has gone by so quickly. Things happened over the past year that have resulted in lost relationships, also I've met some new people too! In situations like this, I'm not sure where to begin. I could simply say, I'll start from the beginning, but that would mean going back to last may! But I'm not about to do that. But I think I will start this journal entry with the topic of Jordan. Who's Jordan you might ask? He's my roommate. If your memory serves you correct, you're probably thinking, what happened to Dragan? Well... it's a long story.
The jist of the story is, Dragan and I had a huge falling out. It just didn't work. He moved out. Reluctantly. Our relationship was never strong to begin with. It started to fall apart in London, even before I moved here. We were so close back then. Things happened too fast and too good. We were both young and niave back then, both eager to live and experience the new world before us. Not long after I met him, he came out to his parents and all hell broke lose. Things were horrible. It affected our friendship. I tried helping Dragan as much as I possibly could, but I ended up getting phased out. He forgot about me. He forgot about me for 3 months. Then one halloween evening while I was at H2O, he comes into the place, comes over to me and acts like we just saw each other the day before. I was of course upset. I can't believe he would just ignore the fact that he ignored me for months.
As the nice guy that I am, I gave Dragan a second chance. I let him back into my life, but not so easily. He had to work at it. I had begun making new friends while he was away and I wasn't about to drop them to give all my attention to Dragan. Things were painfully slow and it took Dragan about 2-3 months for him to gain his rightful spot back into my life. I knew then that things were different, plus I also learned a little about him. I discovered he was somewhat aloof. Before I left to Ottawa, we had mended as much of our friendship as we possibly could. I didn't think I'd be seeing him any time soon anyway.
Little did I know he would move to Ottawa a year later. He came to visit me and started to look around for a place to live. I still didn't think he was actually going to move here, considering how tight of a leash his parents have on him. But he did. And after a year of living in Ottawa, I never would have thought we would end up living together. But before we moved in together, I should tell you our second slip. During the middle of Dragan's first summer here he met this guy, this guy would soon be his boyfriend. I only met him once, and never took the opportunity to hang out with him. This guy took Dragan away from me. I never got to see Dragan at all that summer. I was left alone again for about 2 months. I tried communicating with Dragan telling him that he couldn't forget about his friends. I gave him the analogy that friendships are like flowers. You have to constantly water a flower for it to grow and survive. If Dragan didn't water me, our friendship was going to dry up and die. I told him that we were headed down this path. But his boyfriend monopolized his time. I slipped away from Dragan again.
In the fall, Dragan finally dumped his boyfriend and came crawling back to me. I didn't accept him so easily. Not this second time around. I made him realize what he did. I took him several months before I got a true apology from him. From both incidents. He said he was sorry for doing it, twice and that he wouldn't do it again. He realized just how important my friendship was to him. He finally realized that I was still there after 2 boyfriends. He realized that he had better treat me better to keep my friendship. I was still weary. We spent the fall getting back on track. We started to hang out again, but it wasn't the same. It was never the same again. I felt so distant from Dragan. I felt that this time around, I was just pretending that things were okay. I figured over time that feeling would go away.
After the Christmas holidays we decided to move in with each other. Dragan was having problems with his roommates, and I was totally estranged from mine. (Oh don't get me started on my old roommate... I never did explain what happened there did? Well nows not the time!) So in March we finally found a place and moved in together. I told Rob that I had some reservations about it all. I doubted it before we moved in together. I knew we would have our problems, I was just worried if we'd survive them. I knew Dragan was aloof. But I moved in with him anyway.
Things were fine for the most part. I had no real problems living with him until he brought home this male child. A guy who was still in highschool and living with his parents. Dragan even told me that they did it. I was mortified. I told him that I didn't agree. Dragan told me so insenstively that he felt like Brian from Queer As Folk, and that this kid was Justin. He was proud about it. I told him that I didn't like the idea, that it was wrong. His first defense was that the legal age to sleep with someone was 14. My stomach turned as he would consider sleeping with a 14 year old kid. I told him that I thought it was morally wrong to sleep with someone so young, that their bodies aren't fully developed yet. I told him that I didn't want a part in it. Dragan said that I didn't have a part in it. I told him that by him bringing this kid to my place, I'm providing a safe haven for him to conduct an immoral deed. I told him that I couldn't stop him from seeing this kid, but I didn't want such things happening in my home. Dragan agreed. Dragan continued to see the kid outside of the apartment.
The next problem came when Tom left for the summer. I went into a depression. I was totaly lost and confused. I hadn't so hurt in my life. I wasn't able to deal with the whole situation. My little life started to unravel. I also was having a huge problem with work. And that problem was, I wasn't getting paid. After a month had gone by, I discovered that I wasn't even processed as an employee! And that it takes a month to do so. I would have to wait an additional month for my first pay cheque! I was unhappy. I had to make arrangments with my landlord to pay rent later. I told Dragan about the situation and he seemed cool with it. I didn't get my first pay cheque until 6 weeks into the summer, which was mid June. Anyway, by this point, I owed a $1000 in rent, which was roughly the same amount as my first cheque. I felt swamped. Cause in another 2 weeks, I'd be paying an additional $500 in rent, and plus start getting caught up in bills, all the while, I'm trying to resurface from depression. I had no sympathy from Dragan. I discovered the second unfavarouable trait of him, he was selfish. He wasn't listening to my woes, nor was he sensitive to making connections with my problems at work and my mental state. I had to make arrangments with the landlord to postone my rent payment to pay back Dragan the expenses incurred by him on my behalf. What did Dragan do? He went to Montreal or Toronto pride. I was still depressed, and had no money. the next month, I paid an additional $1000 in rent and was behind yet again in monthly expenses, and this time I found out that he was seeing another young boy and bringing him to our place. This boy was a bit older, I think he might of been legitimately 17 or something. I was fed up with Dragan at this point. Dragan wasn't showing me any respect, they would fornicate while I was in the apartment, something we said we'd never do and had agree upon before moving in. Also he started smoking in the apartment, something I was strongly against. Dragan was really holding a grudge with me because I wasn't reimbursing him for the funds he was incurring. He wasn't listening to my problem. As a friend, he was still apathetic.
I was at wit end, I wanted to start anew. I wanted to forget about everything in my life. I wanted to uproot myself and get lost somewhere else in the city. I lost too much in such a short period of time. I called my parents and had them bail me out of debt. I paid Dragan and told him that I wasn't happy with him or the living situation. I told him one of us had to move, that this wasn't going to work, things were irreconcilable. He said he was going to stay. I told him that he wouldn't be able to afford rent considering how he kept harping me for money. He said he would manage and get a new roommate. I told him that the landlord may not allow him to have another roommate after the trouble we've caused each other. He was stubborn and didn't want to leave, so I decided to go. I phone the landlord and told him that things weren't working out and that I was moving out. The landlord asked me to tell Dragan to give him a call to discuss things. Dragan never called him. For 2 months he dragged on the unbearable. He avoided me and the landlord. We weren't able to dissolved the lease without him. I couldn't find a new place until I ended the current lease. The only choice I had was to withhold payment on the phone and hydro, forcing Dragan to contact the landlord. By that point, Dragan decided he would move out, and demanded payment. I phone the landlord and told him of the situation. We immediately drew up the paper work and requested Dragan to submit a notice to vacate. He didn't want to until he got paid. But I didn't trust Dragan at this point. I told him to send the letter.
Mid-August, Dragan finally gave in. He sent a letter and our lease was dissolved. I paid for the phone bill, the only bill left in limbo, the only reason why he held things up for an additional 2 weeks. The rest of the bills didn't exist yet to what I owed him for. Which was the final hydro bill and phone bill. He wanted pre-payment and I didn't agree. Dragan moved out when I wasn't home. He stole all of my DVD's, my Steve Walker print of Family Ties, and other little things. I immediately called him and told him that I would be calling the police if I didn't have my stuff returned. He brought it all back. I was finally disgusted with the being before me. It was a sad, petty and pathetic individual. I had no respect for him anymore. He caused grief from his selfishness, and appeared to have no remorse to anything he had done. He was totally in the right as far as he was concerned.
Well that's the story of my falling out with Dragan. May I never have to use or say his name ever again in my journal! So, back to my new roommate, the guy that I wanted to introduce to you all because he is a new soul in my life. He has been for the past 7 months. His name is Jordan. I posted advertisments at both universities in hopes of finding a roommate. Jordan responded from Carleton. Jordan is a really tall boy. He looked kind of dorky when I first met him. He also looked very cute too. He was totally my type! He's 22, 6'2", blue eyes, brown hair, broad shoulders, big hands, and big feet to match. He has a nice hockey players build too. He's so totally my type! But, there was something about Jordan that just didn't win me over. Out of all the 'mess' of applicants, I chose Jordan, DUH! He's a hot guy.
Jordan moved in on October. He's a quiet guy and somewhat clean. A non-smoker thank gawd. We got along rather well right away. He has a very sweet personality and he's giving too. He's shy though and his youth reflected him being naive. I'm his very first roommate ever. So it's kind of cool, no bad habits for me to deal with. He came from home where he had chores and responsiblity. Of course, over time, he's gotten lazy, but I think I'm doing a good job in "keeping" him. Anywhooch, now you know who he is, and if you ever see his name, you'll know whom I'm talking about.
(01/05/04) Okay on to the first entry to my journal! I won't make any promises that this is going to be short! What kind of writer do you think I am? I LOVE long stories! I'm going to start this long story with Ray. Another new and interesting character in this incredible drama I'd like to call life.
Ray is a guy that I met on line. I just happened to chat with him. He had a cute pic and a cute smile, so I figured what they hey. He seemed really nice and I was playing very aggresive. After chatting with him for about an hour I finally asked him if he wanted to meet for a beer or something. The hour was late, it was close to mid night, but he lived in the general area so I figured it wouldn't be that much of a problem. He procrastinated and it got later so we called it off. I didn't hear from him for a week or two. And finally we ended bumping into each other again. So we chatted for a bit, I was agressive again and I decided to hint to him that I wanted to meet him. I sent him a pic and everything. So we decided to meet up.
This will bring us up to the present. I chatted with him earlier this week, and we decided to meet up on Thursday after my last exam. I wanted to watch that movie: "The Prince and Me" it's a Julia Styles movie. Anyway, I wanted to go watch it because the leading guy was hot in his Royal Regalia. So Ray accomodated my request and decided to meet at Billing's Bridge.
I can't believe that I was nervous, even though we seen pics of each other, it still doesn't prepare you fully for what you're about to see. So I get there and I see him. He looked okay from a distance. But when I got up closer, I noticed that he had oranged dyed hair. It didn't bother me too much because he had so little of it anyway. The poor guy is going to be bald by the time he's 30. He was a little heavier than I thought he'd be. But that didn't bother me. His clothing was okay, although it looked inexpensive. But I can't complain too much about that either.
So let me give you the 411 on Ray. He's totally not my type from a shallow and materialistic point of view. This guy hasn't gone to school for anything. I think he started a program at Algonquin. I know he went to University of Ottawa for music, but never finished. He's been working at Walmart for about 5 years and is proud of his manager position. He wants to continue to work there and be promoted to store manager or something. As you can see, how can I enter into a long term relationship with someone who won't stimulate me intellectually? Plus I'd be pulling must of the weight economically since I make more money than he does (right now!). I'm just a student and my wages already double his. Just think when I get out of school and start working. My wages my triple that of his. And I don't want to be his keeper and how would I introduce him to my other politician friends? This is my boyfriend, he's the manager at Walmart? I know that sounds horrible and shallow, but I really need to find a guy who's been through school and is equally motivated as I am.
Anyway, I knew straight up that we'd just be friends. If not, then I knew that any relationship would be short lived. It just wouldn't last. So we grab a bus and head on downtown to the Rideau Centre. We grab a quick bit to eat, I had a sub from Subway and he grabbed Chinnese. We chatted about movies mostly. He wasn't much of a conversationalist on any other topic of issue. He just wasn't argumentative or had no opinion on lots of things. After dinner we watched the movie.
Oh, let me tell you how HOT Luke Mably is! He's a tall 5'11", brown haired hottie! I loved his accent! And I love how he looked in his uniforms that he wore. I totally want to meet a guy with an accent now! I just fell in love with him as the movie went on. Where's my shinning prince in armour? Huh?
(08/05/04) Today was a really laid back kind of day. I didn't know what to do. I reschedule my plans with Christine to Monday, and I really didn't want to call Marshall cause we had hung out the night prior. But I phoned him anyway to see what he was up too. He wasn't home, and I didn't want to phone his cell. So I started off my day buy going to the bank to cash a cheque Jordan gave me. Then I went to Billing's Bridge to grab some breakfast. I picked up some bagels and cream cheese and headed back on home. When I got home, I decided to give Kevin a call since I haven't spoken to him in such a long time! We decided to meet up at Denny's for breakfast.
Kevin was already there when I arrived. They had sat us right next to the drink station. Which is okay, if there is anything worth looking at. And there certainly was: Keith!. Boy do I have to tell you about Keith. He's sex on legs. He's this totally hot waiter at Denny's that I'm totally in love with. He's got dark brown hair, which he dyes blonde. I have no idea why he does this. But he still looks cute nonetheless. Keith has an unbelievably HOT and SEXY ass! My gawd, I can stare at that thing for hours, and it totally turns me on! Every single time I look at it. He wears tight black dress pants that hug his ass nicely. Damn it's a damn fine sight to see.
I first saw Keith last summer. I was having breakfast with Trish while she was visiting. I do believe it was when we went to see American Wedding. Anyway, the waiter Trish and I had was Keith! I thought he was cute then, and I still do today. Anyway, Keith was there today, in all his splendid glory. I kept on stealing glances at him. He always has this half smile on his face. I'm never too sure what to make of it.
Oh, I should also mention that this one time, I was at the bus stop at Billing's Bridge and I at the corner of my eye, this guy is walking by me. I could tell he was looking at me through his sunglasses, moreover, I could see that he recognized me. I didn't know who it was until he passed. I recognized the incredibly ass and knew it was Keith. Isn't that funny? Keith was wearing ordinary clothes, a baseball cap and he was carrying a Carleton backpack. A good sign that he goes to Carleton. He didn't take the 141 that I took. So he must of been waiting for the 111. He couldn't have been on his way to work, cause it would just make sense for him to take the transitway to SouthKeys. So he must use the 111 to get home.
Anyway, more on how cute Keith looks. He has light colored eyes, I can't remember what color they are. I'll have to look next time I'm there. He has an adorable smile. I smiled at him once when I was there. Like an idiot. I was there on a completely different day and he was carrying our food to our table, he wasn't our waiter, but he was delivering it. I saw him, and just gave him this excited smile. He already had a half smile on his face, so I don't think that meant anything.
Well enough about Keith and back to Kevin. He told me that he was planning on painting his house. He needed some help on picking some colors. He had already did some preliminary color picking, so after breakfast, we went back to his place to check out the swatches.
When we got there, my interior decorating side kicked in and we ended up picking out the colors for his home. His walls are very abstract, his rooms are perfectly square and his living room is a loft style room. So the one wall goes up the entire side of the house onto the second floor and it reaches almost to the front of the house. He picked out a cranberry color of an accent color. It's a really good color. And the majority of the house will be a very light tan color. It took us about an hour to go through room to room trying to pick out the best combinations of colors. After that we just sat down and chatted for a bit.
Kevin bought a digital camera in the past few weeks. It's really cool! I took a few pictures and my mind started to wonder, I started to think just how many perverted pictures I could take with it. And how easy it was to steal moments of HOT shirtless guys this summer. And the quality is really good too. Since he bought one, I really want to buy one now. He spent about $300 on his. I'll probably end up buying the same one as him, he did a fair amount of looking around before he bought that one.
After Kevin dropped me off at home, I called Marshall to see what he was up too. He wasn't doing anything and told me that he was just about to call me to see if I wanted to go to IKEA with him. How could I pass up an opportunity like that? So Marshall came and picked me up and we drove out there. He ended up buying a TV stand (Which I want one now) and a shoe bench that has little slots for shoes to fit in (I also want one of those too). The TV stand will fit into my room perfectly, I've already measured. As for the shoe bench, well I've always wanted something like it too keep shoes in. I only have 3 pairs at the moment, but I intend on buying a second pair of Etnies shoes, a second pair of regular shoes, and a pair of dress shoes, and finally new running shoes. By the end of the summer I hope to accumulate 7 pairs. And I think the shoe bench has eight slots.
Other than the digital camera, TV stand and shoe bench, I also want to buy a good futon bed frame, new duvet and pillow covers, and 2 leather jackets from Danier leather! Those are my summer resolutions, as well as lose an additional 25 pounds! I have lots to do this summer and only 120 days to do it in. So let's see if I manage to make my resolutions come true.
So... back to Marshall and I at IKEA, the only HOT guy we saw there is the usual hot guy. He has an amazing ASS too! He's so hot and his ass is just so round! I love looking at it. I can't seem to keep my eyes off of it. He's cute too, I just want to go up to him and squeeze his ass! I also wouldn't mind grinding up against him too! (Oh behave... I'm being silly).
After Marshall's shopping spree at IKEA we went for dinner at a diner called "Rockin' Johnny's" or something like that. The restaurant was dead, and the food wasn't that great either. There are several of these restuarants around the city, we happened to be at the one at WestGate mall, which is a mall that is closing down. It's a sad and depressing little place. After dinner, we went back to Marshall's and we put together his TV stand. By the time we finished that I was exhuasted. He drove me home and I am typing it out for you. And I'm tired. I'm going to go to bed now.
(10/05/04) Hello there. Today is a Monday. I made plans to hang out with Christine. She's the girl that I got to know from one of my sociology classes last year. We've pretty much stayed friends ever since. Anyway, we planned on meeting up at Denny's to have breakfast then making out way over to the theatre to watch a movie. We picked Mean Girls.
I woke up early this morning, a little after 8am. I tried going back to sleep, but I just couldn't. So I finally get out of bed and find my Jordan's door open. At first I thought he slept with it open. But it wasn't that hot last night to leave his door open. I crept on over to investigate and he was gone. The blue dress shirt he had hanging up close to the door was gone. He must of dressed up to go somewhere. I think it's strange that he left so early. Moreover, it was strange that I managed to sleep through him getting ready. Normally I wake up to anything, but I slept through him taking a shower and all that.
Anyway, I jumped into the shower and gave Christine a call. It sounded like she just woke up herself. We talked for a bit and finalized our plans. We were to meet up at the SouthKeys busstop at 11am.
I had an entire hour to kill and I was starving too! I ate my last two oatmeal cookies hoping that it would tide me over. I also popped in Titanic and figured I'd finish watching it before I left. Time flew by and I got dressed and headed out to Billing's Bridge. I needed to stop by the bank before I made my way to SouthKeys.
To make a long story short, I made it to SouthKeys and I ended up waiting for Christine for 20 minutes. We walked over to Denny's and had breakfast. Nothing to report there. Keith wasn't working so I didn't have any eye candy to look at. I figured he wouldn't be working anyway. We had some other waiter guy serve us. I've seen him around tons of times, but never actually got served by him. He's not cute so I'll move on.
We left Denny's and walked over to Walmart. I suggested we grabbed some candy before we got to the theatre. The candy there is so dog gone expensive! Does anyone ever buy stuff at the consession stands anymore? It's bloody expensive! I grabbed a big bag of those Hersey's chocolate balls. They are addictive. Anyway, you'll never guess who I ended up running into! And I was so hoping I wouldn't cross his path. I bumped into Ray. I didn't recognize him for a split second, but then it came to me. He was the first one to look at me and saying something. Which I thought was really nice of him. He could of been a jerk and said nothing and pretended he didn't even know me. Anyway, I wonder if he'll ever call me!
Mean Girls was a great movie. Well not the greatest in the whole world, but funny. I really enjoyed it. That Lindsay Lohan is a really good actress... a really good comedian. I really enjoyed her in Freaky Friday and she was equally good in this movie. There was a gay character in the movie too, some guy, he was chubby. Nothing too drool over. Although that brings a thought to mind. Lindsay said something in the movie to the leading guy, whom of which was kind of cute; she said, "grool". Which is half great and half cool. I remember I did that last fall. I said a cross between cool and sweet and ended up being "cweet". It was funny and it was the catch phrase for the rest of the week. I should revive it.
Anyway after the movie Christine and I walked to Billing's Bridge. It wasn't too hot and I wanted to get some sort of excerise in. So we took an adventure and took a 'short cut'. It was fun, we ended up walking across a huge parking lot, the park-and-ride parking lot. At the end of it was a series of train tracks. And on the other side of those was a little creek. Well let me tell you, it was something else trying to get Christine across all that. She wore these boots that had 2-3 inche heels on them. She assured me she could walk in them, so when we got to the end of the parking lot, he calves were put to the test. I got her walking up and down in ditches and stuff, and then we had to cross the creek, and we had to walk up and down steep hills. I was really hoping she wouldn't fall down the hills and break something. But she made it.
About an hour later we made it to Billing's Bridge were I dropped her off and she took a bus home. I just walked back home and finished watching Titanic and then took a nap. Of course, after seeing the ending of Titanic, I couldn't help but think of Tom. Are you pulling at your hair after seeing that name? Yes I thought of Tommy, just accept the fact that I will probably always be thinking about him until I find someone else to stalk! Oh that's so pathetic. Anyway, enough about me. I started to waft off into dream land where Tom and I are stranded in the middle of the freezing Atlantic and Tom is being so heroic and saving me; placing me atop the floating debris. But in my daydream, Tom doesn't freeze to death. But I do admit to him that I love him. And we actually kiss because we both feel that we are going to die, but we don't! hehehe.
Anywhooch, that's what I did today. I ended up sleeping for about 30-40 minutes. And then I got off my butt, cause Jordan was home by this point and I felt like I should get out and do something. So I did. I'm sitting here writing in my journal! And that pretty much wraps it up for today! I'll see you another day.
(13/05/04) MAN! Am I feeling incredibly lazy today! I don't want to do anything. I just can't seem to do anything. But I don't mind. How often to I get to sit around and do absolutely nothing? I've worked hard all semester. Most of my grades are excellent. I'll try and not to think about the low grade that one jerk of prof gave me. I'll just move on.
Nothing much has happened in the past couple of days. I did hang out with both Jenny and Jennifer in the past two days. Now, Jenny you all know. I've known Jenny for quite some time now. For over a year I'd say. Perhaps a bit longer. You should be familiar with her, I hope. Anyway, who you don't know is Jennifer. But more about her later. First I want to talk about Jenny.
Jenny and got together on Tuesday evening for a nice stroll along the canal. I tried getting a hold of her over the weekend, but she never returned my phone calls. She finally did Monday some time. And we chatted for a bit and she told me that she went to Montreal for the weekend. She went to visit some friends. Anyway, we decided to get together Tuesday night and hang out. I suggested that we should go for a long walk. Jenny was more than willing to do that.
So Tuesday night, I met Jenny near Tim Horton's which is between her place and mine. She brought along her backpack because we had planned on watching some TV later at my place. But I didn't want to walk back to my place to drop her bag off, so we just went back to her place. After that we walked back to bank and caught a bus down town. On the way Jenny started to tell me about her weekend. It sounded really busy too. She spent most of her time with her other gay friend. I can't remember his name, but as Jenny describes him, he's a bit chubbier than I am, and a little bit shorter, and he's a little bit more effeminant than I am. She said we'd get along really well. I asked her if she had a picture of this guy, but she said she didn't.
Jenny and her gay friend made a trip into the village as far as I understand. She also did some shopping along a some street. I haven't been anywhere else in Montreal other than the village. I have been to a large Mall north of down town, but other than that, that's it. Anyway, I asked if her friend would ever come to Montreal, and she says he doesn't have a job right now and he's broke and stuff. So I guess I won't be seeing him anytime soon.
Once we got downtown Jenny picked up an IceCap from Timmy's and we headed towards the canal. It was hot all day and I wanted to go for a walk later in the evening when it got cooler but Jenny wanted to go sooner than anything else. I wore my sandals for the first time of the year, which ended up being a mistake after all. I got blisters. I also dressed very light too, wearing light clothing. Man did I ever feel fat! Will I ever be skinny?
The conversation was good. We laugh and joked. Jenny taught me a little more about french. And I asked her to give me some singing exercises so I can learn how to sing better. She gave me some lame exercises that I didn't appreciate until now. It took a few days to sink in. She got me doing this octave thing. I start at the bottom of one end, and then go a full octave up and then go back down each note. It's more difficult than it sounds. It's hard producing 8 distinct sounds. It really exercises the muscles. So they ended up being good exercises. We also ended up thinking about a bunch of old music that we use to listen to like Salt n' Pepa, and Boys to Men and stuff like that.
We ended back at Jenny's and we started to watch some TV while she dug out her old videos. It took her forever and I ended up leaving pretty close to Midnight. We didn't even nake it back to my place. Oh well, I hardly ever go to her place too often. Anyway, that was Tuesday night.
Wednesday I went to work as usual. After work I got together with Jennifer. Now, who's Jennifer? Jennifer is a girl that I became acquainted with during the school year. As I may, or may not have mentioned, I volunteered at two places this past school year. One being Foot Patrol, which is where I met Jennifer. But we didn't really become friends until this past winter. We took CPR and First Aid together. She was in that class and she was so cute. She's so intense and panicky. I thought it was endearing. She'd never be a person I'd want taking care of me in a touch spot, she'd freak out more than I would. And that's the golden rule with First Aid, don't panic.
I also got to know her because we walked on the same shift this past semester. She's a really nice girl. She seems innocent and sweet. She's very passionate and friendly too. She doesn't seem to have a mean bone in her body, but like I said, she does get passionate about the things she likes.
What does Jennifer look like? Well, she's shorter than I am, but who isn't eh? She has light orange/red hair. It's kind of short, she has light green/hazel eyes. She's kind of chubby and cute. I think she's single, so if this is turning any of you on, then I can hook you up. She's a history extraordinaire, honours, and she's considering doing her masters. Isn't that just crazy. She currently works for the government, Parks and Recreation I believe. She's friendly and really laid back, and very sweet and kind.
Anywhooch, so I call up Jennifer after work and I suggest meeting up with her at the Dairy Queen closes to her place. I tried catching a bus there, but ended up missing it. So I had to walk there, and it was hot in the sun too. And to make things worse, I went to far down one street and had to do more walking than I intended to do. I was totally late. About 15-20 minutes late. But she was still waiting.
I told her I was sorry and she said it was okay. We went inside and had some ice cream, duh. She told me about her job and I told her about my job prospects. I hope I get a job soon. I'm not really worried about it, but I need to start making some money soon. After the ice cream I asked her if she wanted to go for a walk. She said she wanted to. I took her down the canal. This time I had on walking shoes, so my feet weren't going to get blistered. Moreover, it was much cooler last night than Tuesday.
We talked about Foot Patrol and how much she likes it and that she's looking forward to her job as 'September Crew' next year. I told her that I wanted to get more involved with it, especially with the year book thing. I love those kinds of things. I'm always big on memories, duh. Otherwise I wouldn't be writing them down here. Then I started to ramble on about the woes I'm dealing with at Community Protection, this other place that I volunteer at. That pretty much took up the entire walk home.
Jennifer's nice though, she assured me that evil people always get caught in the end. And I hope she's right. I can't stand some people. Anywhooch, I realize that you are not privy to such details, so I don't want to stir up too much curiosity because it's a really long, long story.
We ended our walk talking about politics. I told her that I was a left conservative and she's a hard core liberal. So it was interesting to see her view points on society and such. Not that she has a strong back ground in Political Science or anything, she even said, that she didn't know how to formulate a good argument against me. But again, she was very passionate about her views. I waited with her until her bus came and that ended the evening. And that brings us to today. And I'm going to end this one here because I'm hungry and tired of typing. Later!
(16/05/04) First off, let me start with Thursday evening. I had plans with Roisin that night, but it didnt work out. I just didnt have the funds to go and enjoy a beer with me. I hope she doesnt hold it against me or anything that I had to cancel on her. I asked her if she could reschedule it til Friday, she said shed call me, but she never did. And now its Sunday and I still havent heard from her.
Are you asking, Whos Roisin? Well shes a girl I met through my volunteer work at school. Shes a great girl. We kind of hit it off right away. Shes got a carefree spirit, very easy going. Friendly and shes cute too. Like a button. I met her back in January, we were scheduled to work the same shift. And thats where it all started. She showed me Text Twist! Which is a really cool word game. What you have to do is make words with six letters that your given, and you have a time clock to race against. And if that isnt hard enough, you have to figure out what the 6 letter word is to continue to the next level. Cause if you dont, the games over. Anyway, Roisin and I played that during out shifts. And heres a little known fact about her: Roisins favorite color is pink.
Anyway, back to Thursday night. Instead I went over to Marshalls and helped him clean out his basement. He treated me out to dinner afterwards which was really nice of him. We didnt do much more than that since I had to work the next day.
The next day, Friday, I called up Marshall after work to see what he was doing. I suggested dinner and he agreed. I went home to change and stuff, he went home to take his routine nap. I called him up later that evening and we decided to hit Angelinos. Its a really good Pasta restaurant that we found when he use to live on Coburg Street. So I hoped the bus and headed my way down there. Except, I saw this hot guy on the bus who had on not-so-tight black pants and a really fitted dressy type shirt. You could just tell his body was practically perfect! Well as you can imagine, I just felt incredibly FAT! So I knew that I didnt want pasta anymore.
So I get to Laurier were I was suppose to meet Marshall and tell him that were not going to Angelinos anymore! I didnt want to eat anything too incredibly fattening. So we went to the Moondog which is a restaurant/pub that we use to go too. I had a fat free club house without bacon, mayo, or butter. And I had a salad instead of fries, with the dressing on the side. And I stayed away from a cream dressing too. So I totally ate healthy. Which was good because Marshall and I ended up at Nickels for desert.
The good thing about going to Nickels now-a-days is that there is this cute busboy there. I dont know what his name is because they dont wear name tags. Hes a little on the skinny side, he looks a tad bit rough, or masculine. He has gorgeous dark brown/black curly hair. I think he has a great ass Im not sure about that yet though. I tried giving him the eyes but he hasnt noticed me yet. Someday Ill build up the courage to go up to him and hug him and tell him that he must be my boyfriend. LOL
Anyway, our trips to Nickels are becoming a tradition with the Celine Dion Chocolate cake. If you havent tried it yet, you better get your ass up and go get a piece. They are the biggest and sweetest piece of cake that I have ever had. Its also good with ice cream too! So thats what we had, and I think the waitress is starting to become familiar with us, which is good. Were guaranteed good service from her. After dinner I asked Marshall what he was doing. He didnt know what he was doing, but we decided to rent some movies in the end.
We went to Blockbuster and we rented the Chainsaw Massacre and an independent film called The Experiment. It was in German with English subtitles. After that, I suggested we should get something to drink while we watched movies. So we walked down to the liquor store and I got two bottles of wine. He got a bottle of peach schnapps. Yahda, yahda, yahda, we ended up back at Marshalls place. We popped in the Chainsaw Massacre and poured ourselves some drinks.
The evening turned out to be very laid back. We walked down to the canal after the movie and sat there for a bit talking. We brought our drinks with us, I thought it would be a cool idea to drink along the canal in the warm spring air. We headed back after our drinks were done. Marshall wanted to watch the next movie, so we did. However, Marshall didnt stay awake for too long. I heard him snoring on the couch about 45 minutes into the movie. I watch the entire thing myself, I closed my eyes for some of it, but I could still hear it, which didnt matter much because it was all in German, and we all know my German proficiency.
I woke up Marshall after the movie was over and told him to get to bed. I slept on the couch. The next morning we went to the Celtic Cross for breakfast. Im getting hooked on eggs Florentine, they are really good, and Ive always like spinach. Marshall gave me his tomatoes which my eggs even better with a layer of tomatoes under my eggs.
We didnt do a heck of a lot that day. We went for a walk and got the crazy idea of going yard saleing. So we bought a newspaper and went back to his place to check out the listings. Unfortunately, it was already close to 2pm in the afternoon and most where finished and we were both getting tired. So I suggested going to the one near my place, so we went. I suggested that one because it was close to my place and he could drop me off afterwards. Of course it didnt work out that way. We ended up back at his place and I took a nap on the couch.
And boy did I have quite the nap dream too! It was about Marcel. Marcel use to be my TA (Teachers Assistant) in one of my poli sci courses. Hes a such a cutie too! Totally my type. Hes about 62, kind of on the skinny side, he has a little round face, brown eyes, short brown hair, and a cute smile! He wore glasses which gave him a very intellectual look. He has nice hands too which he used a lot when he spoke. I fell in love with him over time. He was my TA for the entire year. He seemed so shy and kind of a geek. Hes doing a masters in Political Science, and hardly anyone understood his questions. He blushes a lot too. He even blushed at me when he looked at. I smiled at him a few times which I think caught him off guard.
Anyway back to my little nap dream. In my dream we were living together in an apartment that look awfully similar to Marshalls. Anyway I was already at home and it was kind of warm out. I was waiting for Marcel to come home from work. When he did, he was wearing a white dress shirt, and semi-tight black dress pants. They were those casual cargo-styled polyester dress pants. Ever see those kinds of pants? Anyway thats what he was wearing for some reason. He looked tired, hot, and wanted to relax, but I couldnt keep my hands off him. I we started to passionately make out in the kitchen, I turned him around and started to kiss him on the back of the next. My body was pressed tightly against his. I could feel his breathing and his arms reaching back around to me, massaging me. I remember grinding myself up against his ass, it felt great! And well, trying not to get too pornographic here. I ended up putting one of his legs on the kitchen table, and I slightly bent him over and started to pummel his ass. The funny thing was, he was still fully dressed. I remember him breathing heavy and moaning and noticing him getting drenched with sweat. It was incredibly erotic.
Anyway, Marshall woke me up and ruined the entire thing. We refreshed ourselves and decided to grab some dinner. So we walked down the Royal Oak on the canal. We both had pasta. Oh, I have to tell you about this really cute waiter guy! He was soooo cute! My gosh, my hormones must be in over kill cause Im so incredibly horny! LOL Anyway, this waiter was tall, I bet he was over 6 feet. He had short black curly hair, dark eyes, and a great ass! He was wearing tight black dress pants without an apron. We werent sure what job he was doing, cause he wasnt waiting on tables. And he kept on walking into our section. I looked at him every time and tried to smile at him. I think I did once, but I cant remember. On our way out I was going to smile, nod, or say hello if I saw him. Of course I didnt. We went back to Marshalls and watched the Joy Luck Club and had apple pie and ice cream for dessert. It was getting late in the evening and Marshall asked me if I was going to spend the night again. I said no, I wanted to go home, get a change of clothes, take a good shower and stuff. So he drove me home. Good ole home.
Today, we had brunch planned with Bruce and Dana. Oh no another introduction of people! Bruce and Dana are a gay couple that Marshall knows. Im not sure how he met them, but hes known them for quiet some time. Anwyay, over the past few months, Ive gotten to know them. And they are the most adorable couple youve ever met. Dana is such a sweet heart. Im not sure how old he is, but he must be in his mid-forties. Hes quite the talker and hes so gentle and kind. I really like listening to him. Hes kind of nostalgic, but thats because thats what he did for a living. Some sort of historian, so he has tons of incredible stories. Bruce is a little younger than Dana. Im not sure by how much, but definitely younger. Bruce I think is a register nurse. Hes always busy at work. Hes a bit more active than Dana. Bruce still goes out, he travels to prides, and goes to the bathes still. But the two of them are a cute couple. Theyve been dating for about 25 years! Isnt that incredible?
Anyway, we had brunch with those two at my new favorite brunch restaurant, Bravo, Bravo. There were these two semi-cute guys that sat not to far from our table. I think they knew we were gay. I kept checking them out. They were both wearing wrestling ringlets. Which was kind of hot. Oh, they werent just wearing those, they had other clothes over top, but you could see the wrestling ringlets. The one guy facing me had on shorts, which showed off his wrestling ringlet. In case you dont know what that is, its a once piece spandex suit, very hot! Anyway, the one guy facing me reached down and played with himself slightly. I think he did it to get my attention, or to see if Id stare at him when I did it. I couldnt see the other guy too much because his back was towards me, but he was cuter!
Well, that pretty much ends this entry. It turned out much longer than I anticipated. I figured I didnt have a heck of a lot to write about, but as it turned out, I had yet another novel. Anyway, Im getting restless and tired of writing so Ill give your eyes a rest. Peace out!
(19/05/04) Hi there, this is just going to be a short entry today. I didn't do much yesterday. I had another day in which all I did was lounge around. I'm still waiting to hear when my job will start from an interview I had on Friday. Did I tell you? Probably not eh? Gosh, no matter how much I write, I always end up forgetting something. Anyway, I dropped off my resume at this major lobbying organization, I figured it was a long shot and that I may not get a job there. But, wouldn't you know it? I got a call like 2 weeks later. I got a call on Thursday as well as on Friday morning for an interview. I got scheduled for an interview later that afternoon! I was a bit nervous and felt that I totally bombed the thing. They were looking for a policy analyst and I have little to no exeprience in the field. But, later that afternoon, I got the job. They selected me, which was really cool! Anywhooch, I'm still waiting to hear back to see when that job starts.
So yeah, I didn't do a heck of a lot yesterday. I just cleaned the place up a little. I watched Terminator 3, and took a nap. I called Joe later that evening because we were trying plan a get together for Thursday. But that didn't work out. Joe will be too busy studying for a position he's applied for. So I have that evening free.
The only thing mentioning is that I met up with Jennifer last night. We went to Tim Horton's and sat around and chatted. It wasn't terribly too exciting. I wanted to do something with her. Not just sit around in one spot. But the weather was against me, and she said she had other plans that evening. I'm not sure what they were, but she was pretty tired too. Jennifer told me the entire saga about her and her ex friend/roommate. It didn't end to well for her either. It's another one of those stories with a petty and compulsive lying type people. Where do they come from? And why do they feel the need to ruin people's lives? Or do they just target the volunerable and naive? I'm not sure, but Jennifer got herself in a dew-zee. The good thing is, she managed to find a new place and she seems really happy with her new roommates.
We didn't really plan for anything else that evening. I just remember that it was chilly in the Tim Horton's because the air was on, and it was a cool night out to begin with it. It had rain prior and it cooled things down quite a bit. But, we chatted for about 2 hours and finally parted ways. I passed by Blockbuster and went inside to see if there was anything worth buying, but there wasn't. Not that I have tons of money to spend anyway. Well that's it. Told you it was short!
(20/05/04) You'll never guess what happened to me yesterday! The coolest thing in the world. Well... not the coolest thing, but pretty cool. I got mentioned on the radio yesterday. When I'm work I usually listen to MAJIC 100 FM. And every lunch hour they play this game called the stupid question. They ask a question and the first person to fax in the correct answer wins! I play it whenever I can. I enjoy it. I won once, 2 summers ago. Wow, time really flies by. I was living at Lees Avenue back then. Anyway, two summers ago, the winning question was, what is the standard length of a gondola paddle. I looked it up on the internet and faxed in my response and I WON! I ended up winning some free sub coupons, and a osh gosh gift certificate, and I think I may have won some tickets to a game or something. I dunno. It was really cool winning.
Back to the present, the question yesterday was: What's the name of Jann Arden's mother's dog? I did a quick internet search and found the answer to be Dolly. I faxed it in. After doing that, I ended up finding out the rest of the names of all the Arden pets. So I faxed in the entire list just to be on the safe side. Well, I didn't win. Some other guy did. But just after they announced the winner and all that. Red, the DJ, finally says, "A special shout out goes to Chad who sent us all the family pet's names" and he read my list. It was kind of cool. My little claim to fame. Anyway, after that I emailed Marshall and told him that we had to go to Nickel's to celebrate. He agreed.
When we went to Nickel's that one cute waiter/busboy guy was working again. I'm just so drawn to him. He walked by a few times, clearing tables and such. I checked him out whenever I could. He's really cute. He just has these eyes, I don't know how to describe them. They just suck me right into him.
We had our usual waitress serve on us. She's a nice woman. And she always talks to us. I think that's such a good quality to have when waiting. Interacting with you clients. Making them feel like they're really welcomed and appreciated. Oh well, I still think that waiter guy is HOT! He has a nice little ass and body. Someday, he wil be mine. Oh yesh, he will be mine. Just kidding. Anywhooch, that's all that I wanted to say!
(21/05/04)Good morning! I slept really good last night for some strange reason. And I woke up before my alarm clock too. Which was kind of cool. I got up at 6:45am and went for my run this morning. I had to take a break after I ran up the hilly section of my run. But I kept telling myself... "you're not going to rob yourself of this..." Whatever that meant. I think I was basically telling myself to suck it up and keep on running, cause it's the part of my run where I get the most exercise. It's hard running up hill man. Anyway, I managed to get everything done that I wanted to this morning. I just need to be more on the ball. But that'll come the more times I do it.
I'm sitting here at work, at my new job, and I'm bored man. There are too many files to sort through. Anywhooch, I've been going through files since 8:30am this morning and I'm tired. I don't want to do it anymore! I can't wait to finish this task and move on with better things. I also kind of hate being stationary. There's too much to see! I want to go exploring!
I'm starting to wish for the end of the day right now! It seems nice out too. I have nothing 'special' planned this weekend. I think I'm going to see Troy this weekend with Jenny. Plus we are making a stop at Denny's to check out our hottie, Keith. He's a real cutie with an ass you can bounce a dime off of. (Where on earth did that expression come from anyway?) Well, that's all the plans I have for the weekend.
I sort of went on a date with this one guy last night. He's 33 years old, his name is Mark, and he's a big dork. Seriously, the really annoying kind that can't keep their dorky mouths shut! Anyway, we went to the symphony darling. And the really cool thing is, is that Leah was playing that night. She's a cellist. I met Leah through curling this past winter. Oh yeah, that's a whole ball of wax isn't it?
To make a long story short, I joined a curling league that Kevin was a part of. He put me on this team and he personally trained me himself. Curling was so addicting and I loved how strategic it was. It's not an easy sport and it takes a lot of practice to be able to curl the rocks properly. Luckily for me, I got good fast. I fell in love with the sport right away. Anyway, that's where I met Leah. She's a lesbian believe it or not. And she's really cute and nice. She's petite and feminine and pretty. She has a great smile and from what I think, she has a partner.
Anywhooch, I'm at the symphony last night and I see that's she's playing and I wanted to go back stage to say hello. I didn't know how I would get back there, but it was fairly easy. You had to be let in, but they were accomodating. It was really cool. They have a green room back there and everything. The only downfall to that was that Mark was with me. And he's a HUGE dork, which is a HUGE turn off. Plus he had little jagged jack-o-lantern teeth. He needs to get caps. Anyway, he tried way to hard to impress me and I have no idea why he would in the first place. Oh, and of course, he had chinky beedy eyes too! LOL
Leah gave me her phone number and said for me to call her. When I first saw her she gave me a hug. She's swell. I think she introduced me to her partner, but it could also be her friend too. Who knows? Anyway, Leah said I could use her comps or discounts to see shows and stuff. Which is really cool. She said she hardly ever takes advantage of it. So I'm going to look into it and see some stuff this summer.
After that, Mark and I stood outside the National Arts Centre and chatted for a bit. He walked me to the bus stop and that was it. It'll be difficult to remain friends with him because he's so uncultured. I'll probably stay in touch with him, keep him as an acquaintance... who knows, maybe he'll end up proving to be a good friend. Well that's all the excitement on this end. What did you do last night?
(23/05/04) Hello, hello, hello. So as you know I had plans with Jenny to go watch Troy and have breakfast at Denny's. So it was totally going to be one of those days in which we were going to take in a lot of eye candy.
I slept in Saturday morning. I had originally planned to get up and go for a run. But I felt too lazy. So I just stayed in bed and listened to music. I did that for nearly 2 hours. But I hardly ever get the chance to do anything like that. I finally roll out of bed and call Jenny we're suppose to be meeting up at Billing's to go to Denny's together. She was up and starting to get ready. We agreed to meet at Billing's around 11am.
I was running late as usual, especially after I made a big stink about being hungry and wanting to meet earlier than 11am. And here I am arriving late. Anywhooch we get to Denny's and guess who's working! Keith! Oooohh, Keith is so HOT! He was walking around shaking his fine ass. I wish I could go up to him and just bite it! I would love to run my hands up and down and all around those sexy thighs and ASS! Plus he has nice lips too, I would of course nibble on those. Nothing excites me more than being able to bend him right over the counter and giving it to him! Oh behave
So yeah, Keith was there, and like a crazy fool I stole a glance of him when ever I could. He always looks back, but I wonder how freaked out he is? I should muster up the courage to finally say something to him. Even a hello would be something! But I didn't, I just checked out his fine ass and looked into his brown eyes and admired his boyish smile. sigh.
After breakfast we went to the theaters and watched Troy. It was an okay movie. It had Orlando Bloom in it. And he's such a cutie. I think the cutest part was when he coward at his brother's feet. That was totally cute. Orlando did a good job at playing Paris. The guy who played his brother was HOT too. I think his name was something Banner. I'm not sure. But he was also in Hulk, the box office bomb last summer. But this guy was amazing. But not amazing enough to steal my heart away... at least not yet. There wasn't any good naked seens of Orlando, but a shirtless scene which was thrilling. However, all we did get to see was Brad Pitt naked. Ugh, what do people see in him? He ain't fine.
The movie was like 3 hours long. My butt was getting sore from sitting so long. I was glad once we got out of there. After the movie, Jenny strolled along the South Keys mall. She wanted to check her hours at Chapters for the upcoming week. While she was there, I picked up this months Instinct. I made a pit stop at Danier leather and tortured myself into trying on the leather bomber that I liked. I wonder if I'll ever buy it? We also stopped at Blockbuster and I noticed they were selling there copy of Grind. Grind is a skateboarding flick that came out last fall. I want to see it and add it to my DVD collection.
I went home after that. Jenny had other plans later that evening so we didn't spend much more time together. I didn't do much but rest for a bit. I called Marshall later that evening and asked what he was doing. He wasn't up to anything so I asked him if he wanted to go for a walk. It looked like it was going to rain, but I didn't bother to bring my umbrella. It didn't start to rain until I got half way to Marshall's. Luckily he brought an umbrella. We walked back to his place and we had some apple pie and icecream. That's pretty much all we've been doing lately, eating desert. I had a glass of wine afterwards and got Marshall to watch some Friends with me. I lent him season one months ago and he hasn't even started to watch any of them. So we watched like 3 or 4 episodes that night. I drank a whole bottle of wine and was starting to feel it. It must really hit me too, because I barely remember going to sleep.
The next morning, Marshall was already awake water all of his plants. He told me that Mel was coming over to get him for breakfast. I was totally groggy and didn't know what to do. I didn't want to go, but then again, I was hungry. I also didn't want to go because I didn't have time to shower and stuff and I didn't want to take the bus smelling like... well whatever it is that I smell like. So I asked Marshall if Mel is usually punctual and that if I had enough time to shower. He said I did, so I took a quick shower. I even asked Marshall if I could borrow one of his t-shirts. I didn't want to wear mine again just in case.
Mel was already there by the time I got out of the shower. So we left right after that. We walked down to this little restaurant that I didn't even know existed. It's right next to Gladstone and Bank street. It was a tiny little place too. Oh, there was this cute dish washer there. All he'd do was walk in front of me, pick up a tub of dirty dishes and go wash them. And his behind was right in my view the entire time. The sink wasn't hidden or anything. I guess I should explain that his restaurant had a diner feeling to it. The kitchen was out in the open so everyone could see it. The dish washer boy looked young too. And he was skinny. I can't stand how there are so many skinny people in the world now-a-days.
After breakfast we walked back towards Elgin and started to make plans of something else to do. Mel suggested this warehouse place so we pilled into his car and drove there. I was starting to feel sluggish and tired and I started to regret tagging along. Cause we went from store to store that afternoon. We went to a Home Outfitters and a Sports store. It took a lot out of me. We ended up at CD warehouse where I bought a CD single of Perfect by Simple Plan. It's the one song that reminds me of my Tommy. You have to listen to the lyrics to understand. Plus, I changed the lyrics a bit so it seems like I'm singing to Tom rather than "a father".
After CD warehouse, you'd think we'd go home! But we didn't, Mel dragged us out to IKEA. I was really dragging at this point. I did get to check out the HOT guy in recieving though. He has one fine ass! And he's cute too. The three of us where three horny whores. We were checking out a lot of cute guys. And there were a lot of cute guys there that day. Of course Mel's taste in guys was much different from Marshall's and my own.
We finally got out of there after they bought a few big things. We had a hard time getting it all in and I had to sit in the back too! I had to sit on the seat which was already folded down. I wasn't too overly impressed. Mel dropped us off and I helped Marshall carry his stuff in. I was so exhausted and tired I asked Marshall if he could drive me home. He did the little sweetheart. And that's my weekend! Tomorrow is a holiday so I don't have to go to work, yah!
(25/05/04) Good Morning! This week is going to be a short week. Yesterday was Victoria Day and it was a holiday! So I only have 4 more days of work left this week. I like 4 day work weeks, especially if you get paid for the 5th one without even coming in! Now who wouldn't like that?
Yesterday was a nice enjoyable afternoon. The morning was fine. There was a slight overcast, and it was a tad bit damp and hardly chilly at all. I woke up kind of early and started to do a load of laundry. I got bored pretty quick and wanted to do something. I wanted to try and get out of Jordan's hair. I'm not even sure if he was home all day or not. Anyway, so I give Joe a call to see what he's up to. He said he didn't have anything planned at all. Rob was away at work, yeah on a holiday, doing some overtime. So he wouldn't be around all day. So then I suggest to Joe that we should get together and do something. I even suggest him calling up Eric and seeing if he wanted to come over.
What? Oh, who's Eric? I met Eric about a year ago I think. The first time I remember seeing him was when... oh wait, now I definitely remember when. I met Eric the night that I found out that Tom had left Ottawa without telling me. My poor little heart was broken. Anyway, I wont rehash that out. I'm sure you already caught the long winded version already (see prologue for full story). Rob called me early that evening and invited me to go see X-men 2 with him, Joe, Eric, and some other guy. I couldn't speak right away. I finally said that I didn't feel like it and that's when it all started. I just broke down in tears and I couldn't stop crying. I was so incredibly hurt when I learnt that Tom had just left, and I didn't even know why.
Rob offered to come over and keep me company and I said okay. I calmed down a bit after that and lied on the couch and waited for Rob to show up. It took him nearly 30 minutes to get there. And he didn't leave too far away from me at that time. So he finally gets there and I guess he still expected me to be in shattered pieces. But I told him that he took too long. We talked about the situation and I told him all the events that lead up to my breakdown. I felt better talking about it.
After a short chat Rob asked me if I was still interested in going. By then, I felt strong enough to get up and out. I mean I couldn't just lay around and sulk all evening. What was that going to accomplish? So I got dressed and headed out with Rob. Joe was already at Eric's so that's where we went to pick them up. This was only my second or third time seeing Joe.
I believe we went inside briefly to get them, but I can't remember how long we stayed. It couldn't have been too long. This did happen a year ago remember? Anyway, long story short, we got into Rob's car and headed off to Hull. That's where we picked up this other dude. Then we were off to Silver City in Gloucester!
The cool thing about that evening was that Joe gave me a gift certificate to watch the movie with. So the evening didn't cost me anything. The other interesting thing I remember was that it was a late showing. Like really late, I think it started at 11pm or something? It was unusually late. Oh, and I also saw Ericka there! She was there on a date with some chick. Ericka asked me if I was going out after the movie was over. I quickly added up the minutes of the movie and it was due to get out til around 1:15 or something. It was just over 2 hours long. That's when she realized that she probably wasn't going out either. I went back to my seat and watched the movie. I tried really hard not to think about Tom that entire evening. But I kept thinking back to earlier that evening, feeling my heart sink when I heard his voice over the phone. It just kept playing over and over in my mind. And I still couldn't find a reason why he would just leave. And I didn't like the reason he gave me over the phone. But... the other half of me realized that Tommy was safe and at home with his family.
SO... That's when I met Eric. That happened one year ago this month. Right at the beginning of it too. And that's the reason why I stopped writing. I had lost too much to do anything else. What? Ok, ok, you still don't know who Eric is. Eric is a friend of Joe's. They've known each other ever since Joe moved to Ottawa which was only a few months before I got to Ottawa. Small world eh? Eric is currently 29 years old, but he'll soon be 30. He's a little shorter than I am, around 5'11" I'd say. He has bright blonde hair, and green or blue eyes. I can't seem to remember. He looks a little on the dorky side. He's skinny too. He's french without an accent. He's also very quiet and shy looking too. He's educated with a degree in Pschyology, and I think he's pursuing a masters or something next? Or later down the road? He currently works with juvenille boys somewhere. There's something about him that just doesn't click with me though. He's not my type. I'm not attracked to him at all. But since I've known Eric, there may be a possibility that he may like me. I'm not sure though.
Up until yesterday, I've seen Eric a few times and have grown more and more comfortable with him. Yesterday I started to joke more freely with him and we eventually started to gang up on Joe.
Okay, so I introduced you to Eric now, and now I can get on with my journal entry. Joe called up Eric and invited him over for some board game fun. Eric was more than willing and he said he'd be at Joe's around 2pm. Joe called me back with the update and I planned my arrival around that.
We both got to Joe's around the same time. Joe had slipped out and bought some McCain's cake for us to snack on that afternoon, isn't that so nice of him? He's quite the hostess, and he seems love doing it too. Anyway, he warms up some hot water for tea and we start playing Scatergories. I haven't played that game in ages! We played all 16 rounds. Scatergories, if you don't know, is a game where you are given a catergory or theme, such as geography, you are then given 16 clues or questions of things from that category. Your job then is to complete the list with words that begin with a specific letter. That letter is determined from a large alphabet dice.
I've never seen Joe try to cheat so much in my life. He was funny though, he kept trying to pull the wool over my eyes. He went so far as to bluff about things that didn't even exist. Some examples are: "ways to get from here to there", the letter was 'K' and Joe tried to use Kangaroo. No one uses a kangaroo to get from here to there. That Joe is quiet the crazy one. Needless to say I ended up winning the game.
After the game was over, they were board gamed out so we decided to rent a movie. We walked down to Blockbuster and rented Gothica. It stars Halle Berry. It was an interesting movie. I'm sure it would have been much better if they didn't use such a high profile actress. Also, the movie wasn't what I thought it would be either. I mean the title just suggests something else. I wasn't expecting a mental institute type movie, nor did I expect a ghost theme either. We also decided to order pizza for dinner since it was already nearing 5pm in the evening. And Rob finally got home from work, but he just disappeared into the guest room without saying too much.
Eric and I left at the same time, which was shortly after the movie ended. There wasn't much else to do, and everyone had to go to work the next day. It was roughly 6:30pm by that time. As usual, I walked with Eric to the transit way and we parted ways. So, all in all, it was a relaxing evening, or day rather. I really enjoy those kinds of afternoons. Especially rainy ones.
(26/05/04) Another glorious day I think. I just got in to work, and I'm the first one here too! Isn't that crazy! I must be an over achiever just like Mr. Madden. Mr. Madden? You say? Ill talk about him more later. I didnt expect to be the only one here. I hope its okay for me to come in this early. Ah well, I better pace myself around here otherwise others will hate me for making others look bad. I wonder why no one is here. I wasn't told of any kind of meeting. I'm going to be here for the next 30 minutes by myself. Usually this other lady is here, I guess she comes in at 8am. But she's not here either. I wonder where everyone is?
Anyway on to what happened yesterday. Lets see, the highlights? Well this guy came in to fix the printer problems we where having. Hes also a student and has started about 3 weeks before me. His name is Andre. But he's about 5' 10"-6', dark brown hair, kind of long and spikey. He has fair skin and hes kind of skinny. He's got a cute smile too! He seems to be the shy kind, but also very personable, if theres such a thing. I hope I get to see more of him. There are other cute guys in the office now. Considering everyone came back from the Confederacy; especially in my department. There are quite a few more bodies lingering about. I wish I had reasons to wander around. But I don't. All I have to do is continue going through these old files, which is a pain staking job. Oh well, it'll keep me busy, as well as emailing people all day. This is going to be one of those days!
OK, lets see, I walked by the students office, which is on the 8th floor, and peered in quickly. There are 3 desks in there, and 2 of them are taken! And I think there is only one computer! Anyway, I think thats where theyre eventually going to put me. Right now, Im in an office that belongs to someone else that they havent hired yet. There is another empty office in this department, but no one knows what its being used for. So, until this office is taken, it belongs to me. I just dread having to go up and work with the other students. I don't want to work with them! They look like students. However, one is a guy and one is a girl and they are both cute. So they'll probably end up flirting with each other and leave me out of it! :( waaaaah!
Oh, let me tell you about Jason Madden. I was going through all the old files and came across this old newspaper. I opened it and began to read through it and this guy is in like all over the place. I find out his name is Jason and he looks really cute. The paper is about 5 years old and hes quite the active guy. Hes actually one of the original founders of that little newspaper. They did an article on him in the paper because he was off to law school. Since the paper was so old, I had to see if I could find him on the net. And I did. He completed Law school and is now working as a council to some committee. I found a picture of him on line which you can see him if you clicked on his name above. Jason is so cute and totally my type. I want him. Isn't he dreamy? And he just sounds wonderful doesn't he? He looks intellectual, and must be smart for completing law school. He seems so dedicated and motivate to his career and success. This is totally the type of guy that I would want to marry. And the best thing is were both pursuing a career in politics!
Oh My Gosh! IN OTHER NEWS: You'll never guess what! Janet came to Toronto at the beginning of the month to do some promotional work. She went to MuchMoreMusic to do a live interview show. Anyway, as always, MMM gives you the opportunity to fax, call or email in questions. I did and guess what!? They used my question! Here is my question:
Hi Janet!
First of all, your beautiful and talented and I LOVE YOU! :)
In a previous interview done quite some time ago, the interviewer asked you, in regards to your great success, why you continue to work with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. You responded, 'if something isn't broken, then don't fix it'. On your current album, you have ventured out and included several other producers and writers -- Do you feel something is "broken" since you're working with so many other people?
Thank you and keep up the good work!
Chad

COME TO OTTAWA!!!
The reason I know they used my question is because my friend Niki, who lives in Toronto, and who use to love me to death, she still does, waiting for me to come about, went to see Janet. Niki said she waited in line for 9 hours! But she got in, AND she took some pictuers too! She said she's going to send me a set once they're developed. Anyway, Niki was at the taping of the show and then a question came up from "Chad in Ottawa" and Niki started scream with excitement, "That's my friend Chad!" I mean, what are the odds of two Chad's writing from Ottawa asking Janet Jackson a question. Now I didn't get to see the show live, but they are re-airing it in 2 weeks and I'm going to have someone back home record it; because here in Ottawa it's a specialty channel. There it's just part of the second tier cable package.
Anyway, that's all the excitement I had yesterday and last night! I hope today is just as eventful as yesterday. Thank goodness writing this up took 35 minutes of my time. What to do next?
(31/05/04) There's only one way to end off the month, and that's with a spectacular log entry. This one is going to be long, so buckle your seat belts, it's going to be a bumpy ride! Let's see, where do I start?
Friday: I guess my weekend started Friday night. I went home and checked my messages. I had a few on the machine. The only one worth mentioning is that Joshua called. He said he was coming to Ottawa later that night and that I could find him at Sweetgrass. It's a high-end bistro. So after that, I called Marshall. First things first, we got something to eat. We had originally decided to eat at Nickel's in the market. We both knew that we would eventually end up there for desert. Marshall, the nice guy he is, offered to come pick me up. I wanted to take a shower before going to eat. So I jumped in and took a fast shower, and Marshall was there before I knew it. We drove down to the market but couldn't find a parking spot so I suggested we go to New Edinburg. I hope I spelt that correctly. I haven't been there in ages and knew that it couldn't be as busy as it was in the market.
We sat down and ordered our food and started to plan out the evening. Marshall said he had to swing by the LookOut to see a friend because she was celebrating her birthday. He also told me that Glen was in town too. Marshall wasn't too sure what he was going to do, he did seem kind of tired and wasn't up for much. [I do have to mention, that the host-boy at the pub we ate at was cute. He had a little adorable butt.]
After dinner I noticed this little video shop across the street so we ran in. I was just curious, and I left buying a movie poster. The movie poster was of "Grind". It's a skateboarding movie. Which reminded me because the Blockbuster at Soutkeys was selling a used copy. I should make a run down there to see if it's still there. Anyway, we decided to have desert next. We went back downtown and past the Chateau Laurier and there were a few hot boys in tuxedos having cigarettes. I told Marshall that we would have to swing by there on our way to Nickel's.
We parked his car at his place and walked back. We made our way back to the Chateau Laurier and I made him walked into the hotel. I made my way towards the ballrooms and low and behold... plenty of fine hot young men dressed in tuxedo's! It was the hottest sight ever! Totally worth the detour!
It was getting rather late by this point and Marshall wanted to make a stop at the LookOut before going to Nickel's. He wanted to make sure the birthday party didn't start without him. So we did and you'll never guess what song they were playing. Janet's new song, All Nite (Don't Stop)! The funny thing was, that it was on loop cause once it was finished it started to play again. There was no one in the bar so we left.
We got to Nickel's and sat down. We ordered the chocolate cake. Oh, let me tell you, this cake is to die for. It's the largets piece of cake for $4! It's huge and sweet and chocolatey! It's the best thing ever! Also, Conner was working. Okay, you're probably saying: "Now who's Conner?". Conner is this oddly cute guy that I've grown really fond of. I go there just to see him. He has adorable dark brown curly hair, brown eyes. He's cute in his own unique way. He has interesting bone structure. He's a little on the skinny side though. But there is something about him that just gets me. I don't know what it is. He just draws me to him. Anyway, Conner is normally a bus boy, but that day he was wearing a white shirt and tie. He got promoted to a waiter! "I'm so proud of my boy", I told Marshall. He was waiting tables. Of course, the next time we go there, we'll have to try and set in the area in which he is waiting!
Well the only part worth mentioning is the fact that I got to know what his name is. You see, Marshall and I were in there a month or so before and I wanted to know what his name was. So I asked the hostess. She told me what his name was but I quickly forgot it. So I had to ask again. I asked our waitress, "What's that guy's name?" and she said, "That's Conner, he's worked here for about a year and I trained him to be a waiter". I ended the questionning with: "Oh, I thought I knew him." I really felt lame for saying that. It totally sounded like a line! To make things worse, they cross paths and they start to chat. I turned my head and pretended to talk to Marshall, actually I told him quickly: "Laugh like I just said something funny" and we both chuckled. I was a little embarassed. I'm not sure what our waitress told him.
On our way out, I looked back at Conner to see where he was and he was standing close to the bar beside some girl. He looked at me. I'm not sure who that girl was or what relation she had with him. So... well, that's that. I can't wait to go back to see him again. Hopefully we'll get him as our waiter, and hopefully he isn't as shy as I am.
Anyway, on with the night. I reminded Marshall that Joshua should be in Ottawa and at Sweetgrass. Just then, Marshall's cell phone rang and it was Glen. Glen told Marshall that he was already at Sweetgrass. So we went there directly. The closer we got to the restuarant, Marshall told me that he wasn't going to stay very long... literally. Marshall went in, shook hands with everyone and left. What a guy!
Joshua was sitting at the end of the table next to a beautiful girl. She kind of looked like Beyonc, at least to me anyway. Joshua introduced her as Utchi which is the short version of her name. I know I'm not spelling it correctly here, but it's a good effort. I sat down and had a glass of wine. Joshua and I briefly caught up and he introduced me to the rest of the table... well at least the half that we were most close to. Oh! I have to tell you about the hot waiter! His name is Trevor. Uh, you should have seen his ass! It was round and hot! Plus he was wearing tight black dress pants that really showed it off! Rumour has it that he's a bi guy and a bottom. I'm so sure though, the bottom part must be made up! If not, then I'm making my way back there and checking him out! He MUST know that I'm gay cause I want my turn! LOL
After Joshua was finished with his dinner, we briefly came up with our game plan. We were going back to his cousin's place to change and get ready for the night. He decided that we would go to Friday's which is on Elgin to visit a friend, Joshua's friend would make a good suggestion on where to go. We would take the suggestion and go there, later making our way over to ICON. That's sort of how things went... but not really.
Utchi, Joshua, and myself went to his cousin's to change and stuff. We then made our way to Friday's as scheduled. We bumped into his friend and she didn't have much of a clue where to go. Besides, by the time Utchi and Joshua finished getting ready and us getting to Friday's, it was pretty close to 12:30am. So we just went to ICON from there.
I wasn't comfortable at all there. I did however, run into Alexia. I'm sure you totally forgot about her. I talked about her during my first summer here. I've never lost contact with her, she's been a steady acquaintance. Anyway, I'm sure I'll be seeing her at least a couple of times this summer. Anyway, we go in and get ourselves some drinks and that's when I discovered that they've shut down the top floor of ICON. They reopened the basement and turned that into the dance section of ICON. I wonder why they did that? Anyway, Utchi and I pretty much stuck close together. She didn't want to be there anymore than I wanted to be there. We stayed til last call and a small group of us decided that we would venture into Quebec to a club called "Le Grande Guelle". The bars in Quebec stay open an hour later and we were just getting started!
So Utchi, Joshua, and I jump into a cab and rush on over to Quebec! The horrible thing was, that the cops where there which prompted the door guys to check ID! Well, I hardly ever carry my ID around with me anymore because I'm 26 now! I never get carded anymore. Long story short, I couldn't get in. Utchi and Joshua left me high and dry outside. I stood around hoping the cops would left soon, but they didn't. I see Glen make his way into the club, so I finally decided to walk over to the nearest bank and go home. But, by the time I got back, the cops left! So I boldy walked back to the club and I was let in. YAH!
It took me a while to find everyone, I had about 45 minutes left to hang out. I grabbed a drink and danced a little. I didn't know any songs being out of the hip hop groove. All I've been listening to lately is punk and rock. There were quite a few hotties there that! And there was this supremely hot waiter guy. He had a georgous ASS! And you should have seen his jeans! They wrapped around his ass so tightly. His jeans had this black inch stripe down both sides of his pants, it looked really interesting. Anyway, I got Utchi's attention and pointed him out. She agreed that he was hot. He was tall too! About my height, dark hair, nice rugged 5 o'clock shadow look.
It didn't take long for last call to be announced and we were all outside the club. It was a cold night too and all Utchi was wearing was a short white mini skirt. Oh, did I mention that Utchi has HOT legs! I'm not kidding, the are full and long and really well curved. She got a lot of attention at the club! Anyway, it was cold out and that's all she was wearing. There were alot of hot guys out there and I wanted to go home with one of them. LOL. There was this one cute guy that I couldn't keep my eyes off of. He was about my height, dark blond hair, kind of geeky looking. He had on a white stripped shirt and black dress pants. They were sharply pressed too. He also had on these long and pointed dress shoes, I didn't like those. Anyway, he was hanging out with this other guy who was dressed like everyone else. I kept wondering why this guy was sooo dressed up. He finally got closer to me so I could see him better. He got close enough for me to see that he was wearing braces, how cute is that? LOL Plus I noticed a detail that I didn't notice before, which was that his dark dress pants where in fact pinstripped. He ended up getting into a taxi with his buddy and drove off into the night.
Utchi, Joshua, and I were pretty much the last ones to leave the parking lot. It took forever before a cab came back to pick us up. We didn't want to end the night yet, it was only 4am! Luck was on our sides when we saw an acquaintance of Joshua's. Long story short, we ended up stopping off at this after hours place. They kept on serving us beer. It was some sort of 24 hour waffle place. Anyway, I wasn't complaining because we got to drink some more. Not that I needed to. I was feeling tired and coffee would have done fine, but I drank beer anyway. I only had two more that night. Joshua was busy entertaining everyone so Utchi and I basically chatted together most of the night. I got to hear most of her life story. We got really comfortable with each other and finally made the ritualistic trip to the little girls room. I started to become protective because there was this backward mullet hick that kept staring at her. Before any of us knew it, the sun started to shine again and we hopped in cabs and made our way back to Ottawa. It was after 6am before I got home. I stunk like smoke so I took a shower. I figured it would be best anyway, I was up anyway, and I didn't want to stink up my bed either. So after my shower, I hit the hay.
